Ok, I know almost NO one would ever get this, especially since the link is from a completely different game than the one this quote is ACTUALLY from, but...
>El Vandeval: Look behind you! A three headed monkey!
I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. I just couldn't.
Forgotten Age: An adventure set in the universe of Exalted. Try it, you'll like it.
>King Skal: Also make some status cards and ten sided dice to go with your... TACTICAL BATTLE FIGURINES!
Tristan: Stoop shaking it like that, you'll set it off.
Legend of the Hunter - 177
By the Ravaging Torrents of the Great Dragon's Drool Flowing Down From the Heavens! It is a STEALTH WYRM! Though no true dragon, it is still amazingly dragon-like and thus one of the favorite BATTLE STEEDS of King Skal's army. It can turn invisible and fly with barely any sound - not to mention that it's quite deadly to boot.
It seems the DRAGON DRUBBING DRUMSTICK controls this beast! Angry waving would translate to angry dragon, or something. No doubt about it, King Skal is serious about this. Tristan cannot disappoint him! But still, he secretly wishes it's all a MISUNDERSTANDING, and the brothers didn't really betray him...
At least one thing is for sure now.
This stealth wyrm is gonna make ONE HELL OF A WEAPON.
So, what's next? Tristan will have to wait for information on where to start searching, probably. Until then, he needs supplies and a full-blown ADVENTURER'S KIT! Like one of those fancy robes CLEANING THEMSELVES IN BETWEEN CAMERA CUTS! And lots of awesome potions with AN ACCEPTABLE AMOUNT OF SIDE-EFFECTS. Saint Howitzer's Remedy Squad can provide those; they are currently TENDING TO THE WOUNDED on a nearby plaza.
They're tending to them WITH ALL THEY GOT.
Not all members of the Remedy Squad are occupied with EXTREEEEME HEALING, though. Some of them will be questioned by you, Great King Skal. For a certain purpose.
I, I don't get why WE have to go!
We barely dealt with the fake exorcists!
And, and if word got out about some horrible accident or something, I bet the brothers did that!
God, shut up.
I can't piss away any more time.
I've got to tell the King about a certain soldier that completely forgot informing the General.
So don't do that talking thing. You're bad at it.
Could you at least stop waving that sword around?!
I could.
Ooooh! This, this is contumelious, yes it is!
Don't you understand? We all barely survived a demon invasion!
I was SHOT at! We deserve at least some sympathy!
Right, Ava?!
...
Oh Ava, don't go all ellipsis on me now...
You really have no reason to be down! It's MY head that's gonna roll here...
...and that is why you should not have heads rolling yet.
You have to avoid internal conflict at all costs. This attack has probably attracted many lesser demons!
Maintain stability, and let me follow the demonic energy left behind by the brothers.
Although both the exorcists, and me personally, would greatly appreciate your support.
I can assure you, Aaron of the Silver Knights.
I have no interest whatsoever in running after shadows.
Though the brothers have ridiculed me, and killed several of my men,
I realize the demons and the Beast Mage are the greater threat.
Spoken like a true politician.
Let us both pretend that was a compliment.
Now answer, Aaron of the Silver Knights.
Why on earth should I support your little hunt?
Just what is it that makes these criminals...
...a danger to the exorcists...?
...
Now, now, no need for ellipsis here.
==>
Aaron: tell him nothing
well El Vendalva gets a few cool points for wielding a dragon... as a table but still wielding it.
Aaron> give in and inform the king about Sebastians condition as well as Gwydian's secret, but have the audience cut away before we're told anything we don't know. but don't admit to the Silver Knights being responsible for the two unless you have to.
King Skaal> don't execute anyone yet. most people here on trial preformed admirably against the demons (except father Albert [even Ava scolded a demon down from attacking])
Tristan: Recruit Ava into your party, whether by mistake or on purpose. You'll need a cleric.
Ava: Leap at the chance to meet your "beloved Mr. Slick" again. You've got a few choice words for him, all of which would make seasoned warriors wince and duck for cover.
>Aaron: Give forth an answer so cryptic and impenetrable that it makes the prophecies of the Moonshine Clan's seers seem coherent and reasonable.

I would be delighted if I could just scrap this account and make a new one that doesn't have a stupid name. Sadly, there's a rule specifically stating I cannot. I could be happier about that.
Aaron, this is your internal "devil's advocate." Don't jerk away like that, you know very well what that term means.
I'm here again to ask: Is it really that dangerous to reveal *some* of the facts about the brothers here? Clearly Skal will not comply unless you make some light of the situation. No need to go into whatever failures of yours might have contributed... I know you're old enough to know how to tell the truth without being honest. This is important, this is something you need to do, right? So go ahead, do what needs to be done. It's what you always have done, if I'm not mistaken. You're DUTY.

Oh dear, poor Ava...
Ava: Continue to refuse to speak until some plot-critical moment.
Helmstrom: Use pretty much every opportunity you have to score points against your rival, even when its in poor taste.
Aaron: Give a response that answers the question without really answering it.
Forgotten Age: An adventure set in the universe of Exalted. Try it, you'll like it.
Poor Father... Poor priests... Poor Ava!
Mister Sebastian didn't do anyone any favors, did he?
>Ava: What are you thinking about?
>Father Lamard: Come up with a way to save your ham. Please make sure your head doesn't roll...
>Mister Tristian: You need adventuring comrades! Seek ye tavern for some hard boiled comrades.
Legend of the Hunter - 118
. . .
Please use words for talking, Silver Knight.
...fine.
It shouldn't affect your decision, since the brothers lure demons to innocent people with their inconsiderate battles...
But fine.
Sebastian was once an aspiring Silver Knight.
He tried fighting demons, and in doing so, broke the laws of both Silver Knights and Exorcists.
There was no choice but to exile him...
I should've known that wouldn't quench his insatiable thirst for revenge.
He never was an exorcist?
No. This does not make him any less of a danger, as you surely know by now.
My Lord... There are some inconsistencies.
Sebastian was seen using the exorcists' banishing techniques! How is that possible if he never was with them?
Father Lamard knew that. Obviously, he hid that information on purpose!
Such petty power plays make a mockery of our brave soldiers' sacrifice, I say!
Beneath those layers of you being yourself...
I understand what you mean.
Aaron of the Silver Knights.
I wish for a peaceful resolution to this conflict.
I intend to reveal the mystery behind this incident,
and if the holy messengers of Arael ask for my help on that matter,
I shall gladly help.
I am about to question some brave citizens of my kingdom about this, in fact.
I will not waste any more time that you could spend catching the brothers,
so this question will be my last one:
How can it be that Sebastian has the power to perform banishing techniques?
You are asking why Sebastian knows the exorcists' greatest technique, then.
Or rather, where the power comes from that enables them, correct?
You truly are a wise leader.
Your questions cut right to the core.
It is true that the angels themselves have granted that power to the exorcists, and the exorcists only.
Even though my magic was greatly magnified by the cannon, even I cannot reach their effectiveness against demons.
Sebastian, on the other hand, is... ambitious.
He may have found a way to steal the angels' blessing.
But to be honest, no-one has a greater interest in finding that out than the exorcists themselves!
What an amazingly evasive answer, Aaron.
I don't know what you mean.
If that is all, Great King Skal, I shall take my leave.
I believe he knows more than he lets on, my Lord.
Next you're saying we probably have a monarchy.
Your answers were appreciated, Aaron of the Silver Knights.
I shall send two of my most skilled men with you.
Rest assured that you will receive complete freedom of travel within this kingdom and its colonies.
And one more thing.
What is Gwydian's role in all of this?
...he is an abomination that deserves death.
That is all.
...all there is to it.
...good, good. Most enlightening, that was.
Were you serious about sending two of your best men, my Lord?
We'll choose some dweebs who piss me off.
Now, then, I believe Mantikor has returned with some people in tow, right?
Father Lamard, the Dragonmaiden, and two representative healers of the Remedy Squad...
Who do you want to question first, my Lord?
This is one of the few moments in the game where we can influence the actions of royalty, folks!
(Excluding fake monarchy that just likes to use the royal 'We' a lot.)
Who of our unfortunate candidats shall be the next one to be questioned?
AVA, FATHER LAMARD, or the REMEDY SQUAD?
==>
My previous recommendations for Beowulf stand.
>Skal: Queston Ava first. She is one of the dragon maidens, and it is very important to figure out just why someone trained to exemplify a dragon's perfection... WOULD BETRAY THEM IN THIS CITY'S TIME OF NEED by siding with the impostors. Dragons are always the most important subject.

>Anything with "Dragon" in the name has got to come first.
This image of avatar excellence was brought to you by MrPeach32, with greeny bits by ashdenej. Pretty much the only part I did was this signature.
.... hm. Well, Ava is the one I want to hear most from, so let's do her LAST.
>King Skal: Select the Remedy Squad.
Forgotten Age: An adventure set in the universe of Exalted. Try it, you'll like it.
That "probably have a monarchy" line made me laugh.
I think having Helmstrom and Father Lamard in the same room can only lead to hilarious disaster, so that's my choice.
>Lamard
and send someone to find Tristan's partner. He must have been there as well.

>i kinda want to see Ava get back to her cheerful optimism as fast as possible. so interrogate her first.
Ava> Bombard people with ALL OF THE ELLIPSIS!
THE REMEDY SQUAD.
