    Re: [Elder Scrolls Series] Threadguard

Back on the topic of voice actors.

They better have some more, there were like three in oblivion, I don't like hearing a major character (Baurus, Jauffry, Martin, Shogorath,) be every man. Or hear the same lines, in stereo, as I'm walking down a road.
Man, if they don't have more I'll voice the fucking thing myself with some friends.
    Also spears, I want them.
Here's a sad poem, I am a very happy man, why can I write these?

I always laughed when it was evident they didn't have enough recordings from the thick Cockney (or whatever it is) accents and completely switched voices mid conversations.

Worst with the homeless. In a tired, elderly sounding voice: "could you spare a coin for an old beggar?" Default, young and happy voice for race: "I saw a mudcrab down by the shore!"

Those banal mudcrab conversations and the insanely misspelled “Greetings, Muthersera” float into my head at unexpected moments.

I really hope there's some kind of arctic mudcrab so that I can hear about them constantly.

I want to be able to punch a beggar in the nose and steal his shit, and then not have the guards come after me. Why? Because the homeless are dumb and need beatings.

Does anyone else think the new female khajiit heads look kind of creepy? I mean,

something ain't right with that face there. The neck seems too long, and it looks like they have cheek flaps or something??

The male ones don't seem quite as bad overall to me but the cheekflap thing is amplified like tenfold.
Well, maybe it's something one would get used to and I'm overreacting. I dunno.

Uh... I like the way the argonian face looks now >.>

I think in that one, its the eyes. Something is definitely 'off' about them.

    Re: [Elder Scrolls Series] Threadguard

I’ve gotten so used to oblivionface that the only wrong thing I remain capable of identifying on that is something like when that lady set out to make “gothic” kittens and ended up with a verdict of “guilty” for animal cruelty.

Yes, that was mentioned on a Cracked article yesterday but that is just a coincidence.

I'm sure we'll get ridiculous sliders like "neck length" and "spinal alignment" and "tendency to notice one's own earwax at the most inopportune moments".

optional checkbox "add fake ears to argonians for cheap laughs"

It's guarded by an age gate. Perhaps you submitted a mistaken date, or are underage and honest? Not sure what would fix it besides flushing the cookie.

I entered my DOB correctly, and I'm over 18.

Tried clearing cache/cookies and entering it again, and it's still not working.

EDIT, tried again, this time with a fake date. Worked. WTF stupid website.

    Re: [Elder Scrolls Series] Threadguard

any of you see the leaked intro for Skyrim? I can't decide if I really like it, or think it's mediocre. But it's helped me cement my idea for first character.
On a semi-related note, anyone here plan to do Skyrim HARDCORE MODE?

    1. - Obtain a journal, preferably leather bound. Maybe one that is made to look old and authentic. It's up to you.

    2. - Create a personal background for your character. Why did he/she trek into Skyrim? Why were they arrested and set for execution? Keep track of your day in the journal with daily entries. Also, be sure to date it. This can include quests you took, people you met, creatures you fought, map entries.

    3. - No use of the in game map. You may either draw your own maps of the area, or use the map you receive when buying the game. Making notes in your journal about specific areas may help.

    4. - Though the game does not require it, eating food and sleeping regularly may help with the overall immersion effect.

    5. - For extra difficulty, if your character dies your story with them ends.

    6. - No fast traveling. On foot, carriage, and horse only. Unless you can somehow RP as to why you fast traveled.

    I'm keen.

Join the mages guild, and make a spell that does 100 points of drain health for 1 second.
    Strip Naked.
    Then go murder everything.

Would people be allowed use of the "authentic" cloth based map that comes with the game, despite it being largely useless?
