I've got a million things on my plate right now, but when my schedule clears up, I'd totally be down for collaborating, WMM.

There's a couple of ways to do it:

    1) Pressing V on the keyboard while a track is selected brings up the volume envelope (P for panning), and then you can just draw on it. (You can also bring up the envelopes by right-clicking on the Track Envelopes button and selecting Volume or Pan near the top of the menu. In newer versions of REAPER it's the button to the bottom-left of each track; in older versions of REAPER it's just the button that's labelled "env")

    2) Swap the automation mode of whichever track you want to automate to "Touch", "Latch" or "Write" (you can do this by right-clicking on the Track Envelopes button), then just move the slider during playback. Personally I end to use Latch a lot; I'm not accustomed to using the other two. You might want to experiment with those though.

    3) Near the bottom of the screen there's a Global Automation Override... thingy. It's labelled "Global Auto" in the latest version. It basically puts all your armed envelopes into whichever automation mode is selected, then you can just move the slider during playback and REAPER will record it.

    I hope that helps! =3

Same here, right now I've got two essays, a midterm, poems, and gog knows whatever else my professors decide to throw at me over the next week or so. When you're ready feel free to shoot me a PM.

Also, thanks for the tips on automation, konec0. I'll try them out when I have some free time!

Re: MSPA Fan Music 2: Now In Cut Time

In my feeble attempt at writing some fanmusic, I wrote this. It was originally intended to be a theme for Feferi, seeing as she has nothing official-music-wise she doesn't share with Eridan. It ended up going together kinda okay with Alternia, so I thought I would make it a countermelody. Not sure what it is now XD.

    Midi: http://www.mediafire.com/?twqlobft98gyxju
Sheetz (in case you're interested): http://www.mediafire.com/?5b33ai3d3ddkkbr

    Sorry if Mediafire's taboo XD.

I compose in a weird way, in that i write the sheet music and then extract a midi file from it ... I can't sequence for shit ...

Claw, both myself and bH do similar with Sibelius, haha. You're not alone in that respect. :3
This is a fantastic Feferian remix of Alternia, even though it didn't start out as such. I think it's fitting that the heir to the Alternian Empire has the theme in their song. It works fabulously, great job!

I am so with you. useless at playing keyboard, so i write out in sibelious and then transfer into Reason. anyway, Ferferis themes is great and filled with brilliant musical ideas. the high parts sounded a little off, but this is beautiful.

I'm the opposite: I pretty much NEED a midi controller of some sort, otherwise things will go painfully slowly. And I'm not much good at writing on sheet music or sequencing otherwise. XD

Man I haven't posted in this thread in forever.

A study in what it means to be alone is basically Eridan's theme on pipe organ and other such nautical instruments. Squeeze box, violin etc.

    You know PCRadio?
Then you might know Tweetbound. This is an entry theme. More is described on the page. First song to be uploaded with Sib 7 sounds. They sound rad, btw. (except the drumkit, a little, because god damn it the kick needs more power)
    anyway yes. music.

This is incredible and I cannot wait for it to be more complete.

Oh, and konec0, I listened to your LOWAS track. It reminded me of a song called Operation: Evolution on Newgrounds I listened to a while back. Anyway, I thought they would sound awesome mixed together.. so since I have no talent to speak of, I humbly offer up this idea to anyone crazy enough to try it.

It could even be named something silly, like Darwin Ph.D.

Off-topic, but does anyone on here use Z3ta+? I'm considering buying it soon (mostly for the purpose of making house music). Any fans of it here?

    Long time no see, Fanmusic!
Here, I have something for you.

Sure, it's sort of not homestuck related but I'm not gonna lie. I thought about karkat the whole time I was making this. Like, this is his song more than it is mine. Tell me what you think!

I agree, definitely getting that vibe from the song.
    I love the clicks, though.
I keep expecting 3 In The Morning to happen though... haha.

This is several orders of magnitude better than it has any right to be.
