Hey, does anybody know of people who actually have typing quirks (like the trolls) in real life? And not related to Homestuck at all?

Like somebody actually, genuinely types like a troll, but he/she does not even know what Homestuck is?

I know somebody with a quirk that begins and ends in a heart, and has all caps except for i.

Before I'd heard about MSPA at all I used to pepper my IMs with sex puns, and whenever I used a word with an x in it I'd make it xxx. So yeah I guess that was a pretty severe quirk I had there for a while. Then I read MSPA and I realized it was probably super annoying.

Another friend of mine put text between lol constantly, example: lol how are you lol? It was... weeird.

it depends on the game. Sometimes it unlocks an easter egg when pressed at the right time, other times (for more complex games) it opens up a cheat menu.
in one RPG I made, hitting the P button made your character use the washroom in an inn. That's where the practice started.

It's a little disorienting.

I have a real life speaking quirk that fazes into my typing at times. I have a very odd syntax and so on occasion
M typin will invariably end up lookin like this even tho m pretty damn smart it jus keeps happenin.
Thankfully I don't do it too often anymore. YAY CONTROL

On my phone, my b, h, and k keys are broken. So I try avoiding typing words with b, h, or k, but now I mostly type in a way that replaced the letters with l3, l-l, and l<. So wl-len I warn people al3out my l3rol<en pl-lone wl-len I text them, it lool<s like tl-lis.

I always capitalize the starts of my sentences, but often leave off end punctuation if I'm chatting.

All caps is, more often than not, my "this isn't serious" indicator. It backfires quite frequently.

Anyways, I don't really have a true typing quirk, but I probably append "lol" to too many sentences when chatting. Then realize that I'm doing it. Then stop. Or say "I'm saying lol too much lol". Then realize I did it again and facepalm. Actually, usually if I notice I'm doing it, I just replace lol with haha, which somehow looks less annoying?

I guess my "quirk" is often using correct grammar (though usually emitting periods at the ends of sentences in game chats) when IMing (with the exception of adding "lol" to the end of sentences) even when nobody else does. That's not really a quirk though.

The only other thing I can think of is I sometimes type anyways as AN-Y-WAYS (because I imagine saying it that way. For example, if I notice I'm kind of rambling off-topic, to transition back to the topic I'll just say 'anyways' like N E ways. (Yes, that is the pronunciation of anyways, but I'll say it longer and more exaggerated)

For some time before I had heard of Homestuck I was droppin my Gs Eridan-style. Otherwise my typing style is too inconsistent to have a quirk, I usually use perfect grammar but when I'm bored/lazy I don't use caps or punctuation.

I have a southern accent that likes to worm it's way into what I'm typin'. So you likes to become ya, ya'll, or yer. I reckon no one really mines. That and I can't spell to safe my life so thank you spellcheck. but if I don't have it it can get hard to read.
