Look at it! I said look at it!
...although it does appear that the High-Def ones are working. All TWO of them. Yaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!

Ah yes. Well, you know why Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack were amazing? They were either produced, directed or animated by Genndy Tartakovsky. That was the golden age of CN. I swear, that man was like a animated cartoon genius. He also did 2 Stupid Dogs, which is why - despite the stupidity - it was also fun to watch.
But back to the topic - sorry I added to the derailment - it's Adventure Time! All of which I need to go back and watch, since I missed some season 2 episodes. One of my favorites though has to be the Party Bears episode, because of the song Jake and Finn sing to bring everybody down; 'My hot dog is dead/My pizza is dead/All my favorite foods are dead'. I was cracking up. And tearing up, because it was so heartbreaking.
The party bear episode was pretty fantastic.
You know that Tartakovsky did Sym-bionic Titan too? That was pretty fucking fantastic. It was pretty much a giant robot show mixed with The Breakfast Club (a sheer wall of Fucking Miracles). If you hadn't heard about it, you should lament the death of a friend that you did not even know.
This guy is some kind of goddamn wizard.
Oh yeah, Sym-bionic Titan was excellent. Shame it only ran for a season...
I'm a huge GT fanboy, actually. Samurai Jack was one of my favorite cartoons ever. I wonder what he'll be working on next?
Since this thread is on a Genndy kick I will say everyone who hasn't done so should check out the animated prologue he created for the movie Priest. It's rad.
this is something i've been thinking about lately. did i watch what i watched as a kid because it was actually good? or because i was young and a stupid little kid? some things havent held up, but i find myself pleased that things like dexter's lab and courage still make me laugh.
and the animaniacs. HNGH the animaniacs![]()
I know what you mean about nostalgia. In my case, though, I didn't actually watch a whole lot of cartoons as a kid, so it wasn't even until middle/high school that I started getting into GT.
...AND UNDO THE FUTURE THAT IS AKUUUUUUU
Never seen Priest before, but that's really cool.
Sadly, Priest doesn't look nearly as cool as that prologue, but I don't know anyone who has seen it so I can't say for sure how it stacks up.
With respect to nostalgia, I definitely appreciate Samurai Jack more now than I did when I was a kid. Dexter's Lab and Courage the Cowardly Dog have both aged really well too. Especially Courage. That show is quality.
Just finished making myself a fancy new clock.
Not bad for a 3 dollar Wal-Mart clock and 10 minutes in photoshop if I do say so myself.
Too bad you can't replace the hands with tiny swords.
or...can you
I don't see why you can't replace them with swords.
It just seems prudent. :3
This guy is some kind of goddamn wizard.
Guess I'll go buy some action figures with swords and glue them on or something.
so this looks like a swell place to say it. last nite, i, in the company of friends, watched the first quarter of sym-bionic titan. it took me two minutes into episode one before i was all one of those nazis from raiders of the lost ark 'it's beautiful!" and weeping into my friend's shoulder.
This guy is some kind of goddamn wizard.
you're just a little dense aren't you
let me be more clear
I am not allowed to explicitly link you guys to go to a certain place to watch copyrighted material illegally uploaded to Youtube. It's against the rules (or at least discouraged). Don't spread it around.
anyways...
I really like that clock! It's always time for Adventure! 8D
wait why did i go here again?![]()
This is the most awesome cartoon I have ever seen in my entire life.
That's a blatant exaggeration, but it deserve's such treatment for how amazing this show is.

I love adventure time, even though I'm 18. It's just so random, although the homestuck thing makes sense... I dunno', adventure time just has the whole homestuck vibe to me.
