I think not, if only because it's far too large to fit in the room.

The answer to this mystery is clearly "reading material".

She probably left it in the bathroom at some point and forgot about it.

    NO

There was once a dungeon filled to the brim with that spell. I've heard... things about it.

The sword was never a cleaning product. She bought it off one of those home shopping networks because she's just like that. She also didn't use it to clean, but as a loofa the last time she showered.

    Anyway,

I read about a mage that made a bunch of buisness cards. The cards she gave to people she didn't like... Well, you get the idea. Worked great for breaching doors too!

    Righto.

You enter the bathroom. Everything seems to be in working order.

You remove your undershirt and sweatpants and place them on the toilet lid before stepping into the bathtub.

There's a thing of shampoo just lying in the bottom of the tub, but you're not sure you'll really need it, given the circumstances. Hell, you're not even sure if you really have any reason to be here.

You've already had a shower today, but it's the first one in an entire week and you're definitely not going to miss out on an opportunity to catch up dammit

The water appears to be fine. You half-expected the shower to spurt goo or something at you. At least now you can relax a little bit and think about things.

This whole situation is incredibly surreal. You can only assume it was brought on by the brain of that goo creature that you stepped on (or at least tried to step on). You wonder what it possibly has to gain from giving you the opportunity to fix one of the biggest mistakes you've ever made in your short life. Subtlety was the last thing that came to mind when you first encountered that thing, and you're worried that it'll pop up and shatter this reality when you least expect it.

But it hasn't, yet. And it's worrying you more and more.

Still, you might as well enjoy the ride. If you can pull this off, it'd do wonders for your own well-being. You need to ruminate on how you can make this the best day possible.

You remember what day it was when you went to the Waterworks right?
Maybe you could see if you can get RR to promise to go there on that date?

Maybe it's like Assassins Creed, and as soon as the date doesn't get screwed up she'll DESYNCHRONIZE and have to start over.

    Hm...

The goo appeared in the shape of a person with arm-blades... just like a certain culture we know that's trying to get rid of goo and probably goo-creatures...

Just when we attacked it, it got into our mind through unknown means...

Connie says something about the psychological importance of this encounter, and how it went horribly wrong somehow... we also know that she ends up with anger problems in the present...

I wonder if the goo is trying to copy the strengths of enemies that it encounters. I worry about what will happen to our arguably cutesy goo-friend if we teach it the meaning of hatred...

...when it was JUST a head it was still trying to eat through Connie's diving suit and was doing a decent job of it. From everything we've seen the Goo and everything associated with it seems Anathemaic to water-dependant lifeforms. And let's not forget how it dissolves flesh thats immersed in it long enough. AND the Guardian. AND what happened to Surge.

Speaking of Surge, the goo seems to have come from Slick and Surge's home. What if it was created there and is trying to spread and/or propagate itself around the universe or something?

The humans there are the ones spreading it! Unless this stuff *is* psychic enough to control people, it was likely some industrial accident / experiment related to fabricating water they are trying to just, dump and forget.

I suppose we are actually being past CC at the moment and not something else that is accessing her memory and replaying it herself, right?

No way of knowing. I think we're present CC who is hallucinating about being past CC. You could go one layer deeper and be some entity hallucinating it's present CC hallucinating she is past CC, but that seems needlessly complicated.
