Oh, I certainly thought of that... but CC doesn't know about it, and can't act on knowledge she doesn't have.
And besides, this one doesn't have a HARPOON STUCK THROUGH HER CHEST. (At least not yet.)

Might be better to just repeat the same action as before and try to pull her out of there before doing any sort of chopping business.

    Re: Waterworks

Ok... the highest priority here is to get Phobia's sister out of the goo. IF she's a Goo Zombie or whatever, Connie doesn't know that so any actions we try to suggest regarding that will probably be disregarded by her. Beyond that, we have no idea if the "Goo Zombie" thing is even plausible. The last time we saw something like this, it was Surge, and Surge had his own harpoon embedded in him. It's entirely possible that the Goo only started controlling what was left after he'd already died from some other reason, and his suit had been breached and it's integrity ruined.

Maybe that's part of the reason Slick was advised to never take his off?

We have no evidence that Phobia's sister is similarly afflicted yet... So anyways:

==> Connie: Be the Barbarian Lumberjack. Axe the "tree"
Forgotten Age: An adventure set in the universe of Exalted. Try it, you'll like it.

Excuse me, my good tree. What a lovely day it is! Might I borrow a cup of your finest plumber?

Brilliant work Connie, that went just like you planned.

    > Before wondering how you'll get her out of this mess, wonder how the hell she got into this mess. Did the tree-oid thing grow around her head and arms? How is that possible? What's the thing even made of? Maybe she was just trying to crawl into the treeoid and got stuck like a moron? Can you tell if she's alive now?

Yeah, treeoid is a dumb word. There's probably a better one.

I would be delighted if I could just scrap this account and make a new one that doesn't have a stupid name. Sadly, there's a rule specifically stating I cannot. I could be happier about that.

Actually, not directly related to the current plotline, but something that recently occurred to me...

We never actually saw any part of Surge's corpse, did we? Only his goo-animated suit. Do we really know for sure that his body is in the suit? And, therefore, do we really know for sure that he's dead? Maybe his suit was badly damaged and he took off his suit and the goo took over his suit but he's still running around there suitless... Maybe he's the one who shot the goo-zombie with his harpoon, in a vain attempt to stop it...

Okay, probably not. I'm pretty sure he is dead. I just thought I'd throw out the possibility, but I know it's not likely.

    Re: Waterworks

I think that it shows a scan of the suit, stating that he is, in fact, inside it, and dead. Might be wrong though, I only briefly skimmed over it a while ago. I think it should be on the same page as, or one of the following two pages to the one with the earlier tree that was linked to recently. Hard to tell with a nonstandard posts/page count.
