It seems like the walkaround Flashes are glitchy when exported, so I'll be working on fixing that. The best bet might just be to message Hussie, though.

But anyways, if you post the translations for the other Flashes, I can work on editing those in.

Omg this thread looks so freaking dead, what happened to everyone?, i have the act 3 nearly finished but i see this thread in the 3rd page and i think: why i even care? i don't want to start thinking that way, even when we don't have an oficial page to put all the progress there, we need to start doing something about that, personally i don't know how to put a page with a good bandwidth or how to program a good page in html even less in php, c'mon we don't even appear in the other translations links, what's happening?

I want to see this project done, and i'm sure i'm not the only one, so if there's someone who still cares about this or just want to give us a hand, we need help on put this translation on the internetz.

Whoops! Sorry I haven´t been around much! I haven´t had much to give!

I´m trying to translate the hivebent part but something just keeps bugging me. What kind of translation are we going for?

I´m from mexico and the "latin" translation of movies and books differ greatly from those on "spanish" (from spain) translation.

A friend of mine found some of the syntax weird (and a repeated conversation from dave and rose. I must check it), but it might be because we are used to the "latin" translation of movies.

Said differences rest on some conjugations and words. Logistically, I would suggest (and preffer) said latin translation for the expanse of land it considers, but I am not currently aware in which hispanic speaking country is Homestuck more present. These are my thoughts and they sum up to the query...

Are we going for a spanish translation or latin?

I think homestuck is written with some very specific english slangs, so it should be translated in a very specific language slang, so at first i said: well, im going to do it in a latin context (more mexican cuz...well im mexican lol), but then when i was translating it i felt some words out of place or just...odd, also i tought it would helpful to have all the spanish speakers support, i wanted both to be ok with this (i've seen a lot of discussions and shit in so many latin-spanish translation works i didn't want this to fall in that too), i know it is not easy (if not imposible),

So then i tried the most neutral possible, but again, im latin, not spanish, in the end there was more latin stuff than neutral stuff...so i think we are going for latin.

It seems to be that there's almost nobody helping with this proyect, so I thought that maybe I could do it. I can edit images and gifs, and I also have some suggestions about the translations and organization, but I'm going to save that for further communications, if you accept my help, of course.

Regarding the translation of act 4

I'm not very skilled in webpage edition so I'm assuming I just need to erase everything from the code below the comic content from the html file then add the hyperlink for the next page there... but I'm not sure... The way you uploaded it seems so easy...

So... considering I'm a relentless Noob when it comes to webpage editing I'll stick to my thing which is translating. I'm writing it all in a .txt file just to keep it ordered. I have done past the point of the first jade/john conversation and I hope to continue soon...

For the flash at the beginning of the act I found in one of the translation projects (don't remember which) a link to every act's editable files to change the text. It's a little more than I expected to translate but I'll have it for tomorrow evening (I guess X3)

Also while translating it ocurred to me... Pester is a really old word for "bothering", while looking for synonims I dounf a n old word like that in spanish, "atosigar". Fromm point of view it is kinda funny but if you guys think I should rather stick with "pester" It's alright! I just wanted to ask what your thoughts were.

Is there any common criteria about the typing quirks of the trolls?
Vriska could replace the syllable "-oso" with 8. Like "curi8", "preci8", "dud8". Yeah, I know it sounds stupid, but I couldn't came up with something better.

Lol ok, sorry for the late, i was busy doing some crappy school bullshit derp.

I finish the translaion of the act 3, i'm just coding it in html, it's a slow and tedious work but meh, it's nearly finished, probably this week it's going to be posted.

I think im going to put the translation on freewebz, it has a bandwidth of a stone but...its free!... no srlzy, at least until a better option appears.
The bad thing is, i have to put all the pages again in there, its going to be slow as fuck but it will be online...finally, plus im going to add those translated gifs since im on it.

But it will wait until i finish the coding of the third act.

Hey, Yageny! I just saw your manips, and they look great so far! I'm not sure if you're aware of it yet, but the different translation projects all have a Homestuck Translation Central Wiki. There are quite a few cleared pages on there which everyone is free to use. (It'd also be great if you posted your cleared Sassacre manip on there, ohgod that is really good.)

As for the pesterchum thing I'm just changing the word "Pester"... I mean... I use facebook and I don't call it "Caralibro" But do have the "me gusta" button...

As for th 8= oso thing... I think that would make Vriska cute... Like saying "Que curiocho!" I think it would be cool... but It'd change her personality though...

As for the flash... You're right @shadowoffate... It exports quite laggy... still found the source of all dialogues and I'm currently translating the .AS file. SO I guess if we come to the momen where we can contact MR. Hussie, we'll be ready...


PD I'm still not done with it But I have advanced most of it... I'm still working on act 4 and I'll try to do the HTMl thinghie by myself! Still I'll post the .txt file up here when I'm done...

Also... I have a proposal... I eman... if we all know spanish... why don't we speak spanish here?

I've tranlated "CAPTCHALOGUE DECK" to "MAZO DE CAPTCHALOGO" but I think you did it in other way, Something like "CATALOGO CAPTCHALOGUEADOR". So, we have to agree on how to translate it, so I cuold change the images.

Editare la traducción para cambiar "Catalogo Captchalogador" por "Mazo de Captchalogo" es mas fácil y suena mejor.

No creo que sea necesario traducir los nombres de archivos. Los moods por otro lado, si se traducen las cartas abstratus (tipo martillo, tipo conejo, etc), habría que traducir el kind abstratus tambien.

Agregare los paneles a la próxima actualización. Excelente trabajo por cierto

Al final, escribo en español.

El panel 0015, está mal, se mueve la imagen y tengo que arreglarlo. Esa no la agregues. La de Sassacre tampoco, el texto está muy suavizado y creo que sería mejor si queda más pixelado. Pero si crees que así está bien, entonces lo dejo.
Por otro lado, gracias!! Hago lo mejor que puedo.

Bueno, los moods y cartas los traduzco. ¿Cómo crees que es mejor? ¿"Tipo martillo" o "tipomartillo"?

@Yageny: pues en ingles se manejo como "bladekind" sin espacio, sin embargo yo traduje como tipo martillo porque...tipomartillo me sonaba raro, creo que seria un poco difícil de leer si estuviesen juntos en esa imagen, creo que es mejor con espacio...eso creo derp

Por cierto, termine el acto 3 (aunque hay una amplia gamma de imágenes no traducidas por mi asombrosa falta de habilidad dibujadora) y pues nada, aqui esta.

Chummy = Amigoso
Palsy = Camaradoso
Chipper = Alegre --> no se me ocurre nada mejor
Bully = Sé que Bully es una forma obsolota de "very good", no se me ocurre algo mejor.
Peppy = Vibrante/refulgente/vivaz

Sugerencias, comentarios, etc.
