Tame the beasts! Be the riders herders!
Next season: Have the river extend and go to the farm. (god command)
Might want to do something about that lake incase it floods. Maybe set up a sort of drainage thing into the ocean.
Friends? Friends are a tantrum spiral waiting to happen. We can't have friends. Encourage the people that the greatest satisfaction comes from constant and productive work.
This image of avatar excellence was brought to you by MrPeach32, with greeny bits by ashdenej. Pretty much the only part I did was this signature.
Kingmaker: Keep the brown cave as your own holy sanctuary/temple. Pimp that cave.
Along with my space-setting forum adventure, I have many PROJECTS and CONTESTS, as viewed below. I like to think of myself as an ideas man, and an inspirator of others.
SUMMER HAS ENDED
AUTUMN HAS BEGUN
Bluh returns to active duty
Duh is now pregnant and will retire for the next two seasons until spring.
King Jerik I and Mirada congratulate Bluh and give their best to Duh
Kingmaker gets to work on redirecting the river to flow past the growing farmlands.
Kingmaker is contented.
THE HOLY ARTIFACT has moved to the top of the brown mountain of its own accord.
The 4 men accompanying Jerik I into the cave the made have returned and have become Male Miners. (silver stripes) They bring 40 pieces of stone.
two females go to congratulate two of the miners. One minor goofs off with a female farmer.
THE LONGHOUSE IS COMPLETED.
The group of carpenters, 4 male two female are goofing off to celebrate as they await more wood.
The three men, two axemen one spearman, have returned from the woods with 40 pieces of wood. The three men have become woodsmen (brown coats)
The female herbalist and the one female that accompanied the men to the forest have returned with 15 seeds. The unspecialised female has become a herbalist.
The 3 Female herbalists by the lake are heading towards the farm with 45 seeds.
The farmers are happy and contented.
ADVISEMENT: Autumn is not ideal to plant seeds for your crops on the cusp of winter.
2 men begin planning out digging a trench from the lake to the cliff. 3 women assist.
The explorers forcefully tame 7 grazing animals and are bringing them back to the settlement.
Population: 37 (18 male, 19 female) + 3 babies

Kingmaker almost finishes the new river for the farm.
Mirada observes Kingmaker's work.
Jerik I goes to investigate the cave some more.
The group digging the drainage trench for the lake are almost completed their work.
One female herbalist inspires one male carpenter to create work on some sort of food storage unit. (-1 wood)
The rest of the carpenters begin work on a shelter for the recently tamed animals, it will be completed by the end of autumn. (-10 wood)
The explorers with the animals corral them until the shelter is complete. Bluh assists them.
1 male farmer and one female farmer goof off.
1 male miner and 1 female continue to goof off.
And oh God damnit WHY ARE THREE COUPLES FALLING IN LOVE!? LOVE ALL UP IN THIS BITCH!
HOLY ARTIFACT continues to be HOLY and ARTIFACTY.
Everyone else idles by the lake.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
BTW Guys dont be afraid to get specific. I am not beyond exploring the rest of this plot and the plots next to it before the ten years are up.
Also there is one more autumn turn until winter sets in, during winter nothing can be done and I will deduct the neccessary food used up during the year.

Kingmaker: Talk to Mirada, see what she wants! She is the mother of your prophet to be! Surely she must have some sort of wisdom she wants to share. This is, of course, after you've finished with that river.
Have the idle villagers assist with farming and logging? OR how about having them make up songs to sing in your GLORY? Bards, that is. We need bards. Or at least just one bard.
Also, build a storage house. For all of our food, and for the seeds as well. Let's not plant anything right now, I guess.
Also, Kingmaker! Set the Holy Artifact on fire for the coming winter! To, uh, represent your people's valiance and perseverance in the face of adversity?
Oh, and also teach the villagers how to make the stones into tools. Stone tools!

>> Woodsmen: Go into forest across what is about to be yon river.
>> Also stone tools.
I'm the guy who started the >> thing.
We really ought to send Kingmaker off on a scouting expedition to the north come winter instead of, say, setting the Holy Artifact on fire. Intel on this witch is pretty damned important to have, and winter provides the best time frame, since the tribe can't accomplish anything during winter anyway. Adventure-mode subplot, ahoy!
As for the last autumn update:
> Carpenters: Produce fishing tools... unless we already have those. We really ought to get started on stockpiling the food supply, and since the farmland isn't ready to produce and we're not ready to mass-breed the domesticated animals, fishing would be an ideal place to start.
> Villagers: If fishing tools (rods, nets, etc.) are already available, get some practice in before winter sets in.
> Camera: Temporarily zoom out so we may begin planning for expansion ahead of time. That is to say, give us a view of the three zones to our north, northeast, and east as seen on the zone map.
> Mirada: Listen in on the rumors and gossip. See if you can't uncover the reasons behind the discontent regarding Jerik's position.

The laborers digging the drainage trench have finished their work.
The two available woodsmen cannot cross yon river to get to the forest.

Queen Mirada overhears a few of the women gossiping. It seems some of the men are chaffing under Jerik's rule. Some of the men remember it was the stupid rebellion Jerik's tribe started that got so many of them killed. Others doubt Jerik's skill in statecraft, is sufficient to keep the tribe alive long enough until the eventual war with the witch. Others seem to be jealous of Kingmaker's favor of Jerik and Mirada. Other then this, the women gossip about more trivial matters.
Mirada: Dearest, some of the people are doubting whether they should accept us as their rulers.
Jerik: I am aware dearheart,
Mirada: What should we do?
Jerik: Nothing
Mirada: What?
Jerik: If any of them were going to challenge my rule, they would've done it by now. They are all quite aware it was our covenant with Kingmaker that saved them all. Nothing will come of these strange ramblings, I assure you.
Mirada: I hope you're right.
Meanwhile, Kingmaker fondly regardsCONSUMES sammich
AUTUMN HAS ENDED
FOR WINTER HAS COME...

You are now, briefly, kingmaker.

NOOOOOOO.
THE SALTWATER WILL CONTAMINATE THE FRESHWATEEEER.
So, we're now in the previous 'mode' right? We don't have a limit of actions?
If so, before we head north, I say we mingle with our subjects.
Ah, I see. LET'S PUT THAT HOLY ARTIFACT ON FIRE!
Or, maybe, turn it into a crystal? Crystals hide in rocks, right? Yeah, let's go with that.
And then put the crystal on fire. And turn it into some kind of scrying tool.
Kingmaker: Poke artifact.
Alright, we can work on that another time. Take baby steps, you know?
Let's scout out the area directly north? Unless there's anything else anyone thinks we should do before we leave this area?
