If that light is an exit, we can get back to this spot later. No sense not going up and returning later, now that we've examined some of the cave.

Alright, go back up for the diamonds, some green krystal, and that scroll. Then, try the steps up. If anything we need to keep our exits open.

In this Spoiler is my dark collection of black magic, Opening it releases the forces of light and dar- ...You misclicked on it didn't you.
You toss a light under the ledge. Looks like a small crawlspace. You see a few animal bones in a pile as well as some scratches on the wall underneath.
You crouch down and move under the jagged rocks to get a better look.
The scratches are actually a series of pictograms. You see an image that looks like the passage to your right which seems to lead to death and spiders.
You thinking this is a subtle warning that going to the right would be an exceedingly bad idea.
You retrace your steps. You already have a piece of raw krystle to bring back to Kingmaker for him to have a look at. So you decided to go pick up that scroll you negligently left behind you.
After taking a few seconds, (read: hours), to steal yourself you climb back up the handholds and slowly walk, almost crawl, back to the pile of rocks where you found the scroll. Each second feeling like an eternity as you almost soil yourself over the fear of being dropped on top of by a HUGE ASS MOTHERFUCKING SPIDER HOLYSHITJUSTGRABTHESCROLLWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
You grab the Scroll. You skedaddle.
You hookshot over back to the other ledge and go back to where you found the diamonds from before. A quick drilling and careful collection nets you a nice little pile of diamonds, although some fell in the water and got washed away.
Ah well, you pocket what you got.
Suddenly feeling you have more balls then common sense you decide to shine a little lig-WHERE IS THE SPIDER WHERE DID IT GO OH NO
FUCK EVERYTHING, YOU'RE GETTING OUT OF THIS CAVE RIGHT NOW, AND YOU DONT GIVE TEN FUCKS ABOUT THAT RIDICULOUSLY DANGEROUS JUMP YOU JUST MADE FROM ONE LEDGE TO ANOTHER.
Well, you're out of the cave at least.

So, wait, you came out inside the tower? What's in the cave on the beach then? (Be sure not to explore it recklessly--in case it leads back to Spiderville)

There arent many uses to consider, it can only be used to teleport home once, after that it just becomes an ordinary Iron fedora with an unlimited light source
Which is still awesome.
Also, fuck spiders.
Forever.
You do just that. But fuck luring the spider outside. How would it even get through the hole anyway?
Anyway, the light beaming through the trees is highlighting something beyond this copse of trees.
Strange plant, seems to be the only one of its kind on the island.
You take some of the berries, maybe the herbalist women back at the tribe. Maybe they can do something with it.
You go down to the cave at the beach and have a look inside.
The cave is actually pretty small, and has a plinth like the one back in the cave with the skull. Except it is smaller. It has more of that nonsense writing. It looks like something is supposed to be placed on the top of the plinth.
I'm going to say that it's likely that the crown goes there... but I don't know because we can't read the symbols, and I don't know if the sizes match up
And considering that maybe the crown should go there, there's another question as to whether we should do it. It might make this guy somehow Kingly(tm)--but we already have a Kingly dude, don't we? Better to deal with this particular puzzle (or opportunity or whatever) as Kingmaker himself.
Is there anything on the back half of the island? Which is to say, the shore looks like it wraps around, is there anything on the opposite cliffs or shore?

You place the crown, is that what this thing is called? On top of the plinth. Nothing seems to be happening and it doesn't look like it was meant to hold a crown.
You put the crown back into your inventory.
You submit to your curiosity and check around the other side of the island.
You find nothing at all. Disheartened you return back to the 'front' of the island.
I guess we would be remiss to not check the shallows as well. Maybe there's some exciting coral, seaweed, or fish! Or pretty shells! Or clams, which might have pearls!
Also does the Sims green crystal fit onto the plinth? Probably not... I guess we could also try the iron fedora or the spear (the crossbow on the back looks a little bit like the right size and shape, but probably not...)

Yep, sure can! You can even make out the mountain and long house if you squint.
Ally-oop!
That's better, now...
To your west you can barely make the outline of another island, either its small and near or very large and far away, you cant tell.
To your north you can make the coast of the bay and the forest that dominates the north between your tribe and the cold north kingmaker rescued you from.
To your south is the ocean.
Its strange, despite the robust wind the waters of the sea dont seem to move much, In fact you dont see any waves. Its as if the entire sea is dead. In fact...
Just to be shore you go down to the sure. And search for anything interesting.
After doing a lap of the island you discover that there doesnt appear to be any sign of life. no crabs, fish, eels. not even sea plants.
Seas do have plants right? You don't know, you lived in a frozen blasted wasteland your entire life. But fish live underwater and fish must eat SOMETHING.
You return to the strange cave.
You try placing your drill spear on the pedestal in many different positions. You get no reaction. You're not really sure what you were expecting-
Woah wait a minute! On a hunch you placed your fedora on the plinth, figuring since the hat houses an eternally burning HOLY FIRE courtesy of Kingmaker, it may do something if it does anything at all.
The writing on the plinth immediately light up the colour of kingmaker's fire and vibrated slightly. However other then that nothing interesting occurs. You get the feeling that this plinth was supposed to respond to something with power, but not exactly kingmaker's divine will. At least not intentionally.
You hesitate before placing the glowing krystle on the plinth. After all you still get a funny feeling from this thing, it must be absurdly powerful but you have no idea how to measure a concentrated power of this krystle against say, a minute amount of power of a god's will in the form of an eternal flame for example.

hm...
Kingmaker should be able to fly over if we ever want to do this later, but is there a good reason to wait? Except for the fact that others will know what's going on, and maybe be prepared if necessary?
I mean, worst case, it starts some sort of Bad Event and we have to scramble with everyone to keep up with it... but then, we'll have the same problem later.
Second-worst case is that something good happens that we're unequipped to handle right now, and an opportunity is wasted.
Third-worst would be the krystle having some other interesting uses that are wasted by using it here...
Fourth-worst is the spider puts on a top hat and starts doing the can-can. That's not a metaphor for eating us or anything, it's just a disturbing image.
What was I talking about?

I say take it to the kingmaker and let him decide. Perhaps the crystal will be more usefull to him then whatever the pedestal will produce.
hey is still going or are you makeing a different adventure
Currently making different adventures, however this may be resurrected at any point.
So you never know.
