I'm still getting the "NameError: global name 'pygame' is not defined" too.

So it dosen't work on macs just yet... I guess I can wait. Don't really know anyone enough to pester them yet anyways.
Daww it's okay bro. ;^; If there's any tests I could do to help out on the system, don't hesitate to ask! Also, thanks for the description.
I for one could really benefit from having Pesterchum on my own laptop, but eh, I can resort to secretly yoinking my mom's laptop for that so no big rush in my case.
So... is anyone still working on this, or is it just kind of abandoned?
No, not at all abandoned. Development has definitely slowed recently as I started back at school and GD got a new job. However there are still lots of things I worked on that haven't been put into full public release. On top of that, GD and I have plans for some awesome new features, and GD has been working on the backbone (databases and such) to support these features.
An evacipatedBox on Pesterchum
Evacipated: "Applied to a line of reasoning, means it has been unwound or evaporated due to indeterminate premises."
Mostly I'm asking because I haven't been able to find much of a solution to my problem in general with pesterchum...How'd you mean? What else needs working on, Seanorib?
My current problem is apparently the fact that I have leopard, and I haven't exactly been able to find a solution.

AWESOME.
how do i save my pesterlogs?
They're automatically saved! If you're on Windows, go to C:/Pesterchum/logs/[yourchumhandlehere], and you'll find it neatly categorised into your conversational partners, dates and the style you wish it presented in - whether it be BBCode, HTML, or text. Rather convenient, really.
AUUUUGH i'm so bad with computers /sobs into hands
so I downloaded the python thingie and all that jazz but when I open up Pesterchum it still says there's an error. I think I'm pretty much on the same boat as almost all the other leopard users here, cos the console says pygame is not defined and exited with code 255 (whatever that means)
if anyone comes up with any solutions, that would be lovely. ;-; and thanks to everyone who's been working hard at this! @_@

I heard from someone on a reddit thread that it worked for them on the Lion OS... has anyone here been successful with Lion? I've been meaning to get it anyway, so... lol
I would love a Pesterchum app for the Kindle Fire... not saying that it's at all likely to happen or anything, just putting that out there.
Go then. There are other lesbians than these.

I am having a situation in which my friend and some mystery man have been sharing accounts without knowing. Causing me and my friend to become very confused. We have already handled the situation, but is there any way in which the names can become permanent so that no one can use your name?
NickServ allows you to register nicknames under the IP address that you're using. Make sure you have the latest pesterchum because my friend discovered that her older version had HELP, but not NickServ under it. When you register the nick it will give other people only 1 minute to use it before getting kicked off the nickname. Eventually they'll get tired of trying to use the nick.
Warning: On rare occasions, the IP address will change and it will start doing the same thing to you. If that happens just simply use that one minute to quickly un-register and re-register. If you have multiple wi-fi sources it may do well to register those as well- I find that making an extra nick for finding out the IP for those helps- this way, if you register those as well, you can easily fix the IP address change problem by going to a back-up wifi that you registered earlier and just drop that IP from the list.

Can I make a suggestion? When you go to Trollian, for a theme, there's a picture of the time lines. It would be really cool, and handy for RPs if that could be an actual function! like, being able to change what point in the time line you're at. I don't know how hard that would be, but either way, it would be awesome.
Hello, I also have Mac 10.5.8 and here's my screenshot:

I tried to make a theme, but when I switched Pesterchum to the theme, it gave me this error code: Theme Error: 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 3-5: invalid data.
What do I do?
I have a quick question, is there any movement being made on a mobile front? One of the key points of this system in MSPA itself was that they had mobile versions of the system. While I understand that you would have to work with the OS systems of the devices (Kindle, iOS, Android *What I have*, and any others that I may have missed). I am curious if you actually intend to put this out there, or if it is to be left alone. Sincerely yours, codeEverlasting
I have an opposite (?) question - I have been thinking about coding a (simplified?) iOS Pesterchum client, and I would like to know if I should do it or not. Is someone already doing this ? Although I've been a programmer for many years, this would be my first try at iOS/Objective-C programming, if someone with more experience is already working on that I wouldn't need to do it myself.
I've already written code enough to login with a chumHandle and keep replying to the PINGs, and I've learned how to talk to the Pesterchum server via Telnet (i.e. I got the gist of IRC and Pesterchum protocols), before thinking I should first plan the whole thing first (e.g. UI) instead of ad-hoc coding it all. I wonder if I'll ever finish this... Or if someone would even want this... Or if this is the right thread...
I'm fairly certain that this is the place to put things like that. However if I remember reading correctly, the actual people in charge of this project are in fact pre-disposed with life, thus meaning that they may not respond as much. However I would like to address your statements. I am a budding programmer myself and was wondering, how big of a change would you have to make to make the program work for Android and other smartphone OS's? Also, were you able to work in a quirk system? Plus, I think the biggest thing with a mobile application is the capability of having your information sent between phone and computer just as with other social apps such as Facebook.
