Have any little problems with the story at all? Of course you do, don't lie to yourself! We all know Hussie is only human and can't please us all the time.
So yeah, post any complaints about the story you might have, something you'd have liked not to happen or whatever.

Personally, I didn't like the trolls much. They've kind of grown on me, and I don't like that, either. I'd have liked Homestuck if it focused more on the kids.

Well, to be fair, they were right...

And yeah, I do sometimes get the feeling that the trolls kinda barged in and took over most of the story, but they're awesome, so no problem, right?

I like the idea of this thread, that even though this is the official forums we don't have to love everything about the story and can feel free to voice complaints, but... sadly I got nothing. The one time I did have a serious complaint about the story it was about Kanaya's death and, haha, that got reversed and turned into the best thing ever.

I find the Exiles to be the weakest characters, by quite a substantial amount. That's right, I have no soul.

On a more serious criticism, I dislike the exclusive reliance upon logs for telling the story. Although the set-up works well with simple declarative sentences, anything more than about eight lines starts to become a chore rather than a pleasure, especially if you're archive reading. Reading long logs draws your eyes away from the art and towards rather garishly coloured text, which often has quirks that make it frustrating to read, and, to be honest, don't really add anything to the story, other than helping us discern the personalities of the characters, something which should be done through their use of language. The logs work fine when people are chatting over computers, but anything like a real conversation can feel out of place, especially when the quirks are used.

If [when?] there's a sequel to Homestuck, this is the number one, or even the only thing I would like to see changed in the way MSPA is presented.

No really I can't think of anything I dislike. Other than the fact that we won't get to see all of the characters' god tier forms.

When the trolls were first introduced, I skimmed most of it and went back to the kids.
But now I'm more interested in the troll session than the kid's session and have re-read the whole alterniabound section.

The one thing I don't get though, is why did the white queen just give up her prototype ring. I mean, they can match Jack Noir's power with it and tilt the power onto the heroes' side (1 super-crazy-haxx-dude vs. 1 other crazy-super-hax-dude plus pretty much every else left alive in the universe...es.)

Seconded on the logs. There are times when I'm fine reading a long log that reveals a lot of plot and insight into characters while opening questions, and there's times when I'm archive binging or opening a new page and groan at how far down it drops. I'm a fast reader, and there are obviously times that logs are truly insightful and entertaining to read. But in the most recent archiving I've done during the past week, I realize that I'm trying so hard to get past writing quirks and remembering which acronym name belongs to which character and where the conversation is flowing that I'm missing the dialog itself, skipping over jokes and plot hint drops just to conquer the logs and move on. I can deal with it now, it's just a matter of keeping track of the logs and paying attention to them. But yes, in future projects after Homestuck's conclusion, I would appreciate a smoother way to have dialog than long logs or speech bubbles. I have full confidence that Hussie has the creativity to pull off a new form of transcribing conversation that's less tedious to read.

Not so much a complaint; to me, complaint implies a dislike. Something that is altogether not fun. While I'm still enjoying the comic, I have been enjoying it less. Right after the end of act three was when I enjoyed the comic the most. This reflects more so how much I loved the first three acts of homestuck than it is in any way a hatred of what happened after the first three act. What can I say, I really liked the kids. And honestly, the adventure does feel like it's more about the trolls than it is the kids at this point; hell, it has for more than a year now. Ever since January/February 2010. It does feel like Andrew decided the trolls were more popular than the kids and kinda threw the kids under the bus in favor of the trolls. Hell, what were we at? 250,000 fans before the trolls; 700,000 after? It makes sense and all. Just makes me a bit sad and nostalgic. And it bugs me to think that, perhaps, the trolls are as popular as they are because they've had more converastions and shenanigans to be involved with. Hivebent not only was the introduction of 12 characters but an experiment in ratcheting up the length of logs and the pace of the comic. If the kids had that chance, maybe they'd be just as popular? Again, still enjoying homestuck. Just not as much.

Edit: Though popular is perhaps the wrong way of viewing it. It's more so I wish the story focused more on the kids than it does.

I agree, but I think that will change within the next few months as they start dying. So long as they stay dead, the focus will shift back to the kids.
