I created these with a combination of texture edits, game modifications, and saved game edits using my own world-editing software MCEdit. No actual Minecraft gameplay was involved. I'll be working on LOHAC next unless I find a compelling reason to do a different world.

Yep, I made MCEdit. Made it for a specific purpose, too.

1. Create copy-paste editor for Minecraft
2. Wait for the Notre Dame Cathedral to be built, exported, and uploaded. (Plus some other buildings.)

I haven't spent much time with interior decoration, stuff like stairs and rooms are still missing. But the internal size is more than enough for someone to live in (minecraft wise). During design I wanted for every level to be at least 3 blocks high, but I had to make an exception with that part with cubes protruding at the corner. At that level, there's a 2 block high space for each of the 3 floors, which is not that bad if you don't have problems with small spaces. So, in the end, the interior is completely livable, but still empty.

I was starting to make the small hill where the tower is located at, and then realized how boring it was. Any tips on making a natural looking hill?

EDIT: I didn't include the file because I still feel it's incomplete, but if you really are interested, I can send it anyway.
