Nestbound is an awesome project that has sat dead in the water for the last year and needs new life to bring in ideas (writers especially welcome!). Here are a bunch of tools that you can use to play around over there!

That I know of, there were 6 players (3 male [Sked (Red), Taza (Purple), Kesh (Green)], 3 female [Ikti (Yellow), Atri (Teal), Shie (Magenta)]) each with a sprite (Shkedsprite [Sked], Sharksprite [Kesh], an Aphidcatsprite [Shie], HeroAtrisprite [Atri], Genericsprite [Taza], Shipsprite [Ikti]) and each with a guardian/ancestor (Grandma [Sked], Dad [Sked], Bro [Taza], Sis [Atri], Mom [Ikti], Uncle [Kesh]; [Shie's guardian is Aphidcat]), which makes 18 characters in all. Then there are the standard carapaces (Jack, Droll, Dignitary, Brute, Black Queen, White Queen, etc.). I am unaware of others, but I might have missed some. Also, not all of the sprites/guardians were necessarily confirmed.

EL: You prototyped with a shedding of yours, yes?
SC: Yes.
EL: If you prototyped with a juvenile shedding...
EL: and sprites take on the attributes of that which they are prototyped with...
EL: it follows that the result would be a juvenile sprite.
SC: There must have been some kind of mistake.
SC: When I was young, I was never that, uh...
EL: Bubbly?
SC: That's not quite the word I was looking for.
EL: Pleasant?
SC: That's somehow even less fitting.
SC: I need to know if there's a way to reverse this.
EL: Prototypings appear to be permanent. Although...
EL: Have you used your second prototyping?
SC: You can prototype twice?

Sked: This is a bit fucked up.
Shkedshkedsprite: That's a bit of an understatement, if you ask me.
Shkedshkedsprite: What exactly possessed you to do this?
Sked: In my defense.
Sked: First prototype attempt was annoying.

Sked: What is your purpose?
Sked: I didn't get much from me earlier.

Sked: So you, uh, you two are going to be like... an SCARB manual? A tutorial?
Shkedshkedsprite: Not at all! We're supposed to be circumspect about the information we hand out.

Sked: You two are me, right?
Sked: Or at least bear a passing resemblance.
Shkedshkedsprite: I suppose you could say that.
Sked: You could just tell me what I need to know, then. There's no need to be coy.

Sked: Good. Start from the beginning. What do I need to know?
Shkedshkedsprite: There are two races in the Medium that, despite their similar appearances, have been engaged in increasingly violent conflict for the entirety of their history!
Shkedshkedsprite: Sort of like us!
Shkedshkedsprite: I'm not sure how Sked figures into this...
Shkedshkedsprite: No no, I mean like me and me (you).
Shkedshkedsprite: Oh. Us.
Sked: Uh...
Shkedshkedsprite: Right. Hey, and our colors almost match those of Prospit and Derse!
Shkedshkedsprite: This simile just got a thousand times better.

Shkedshkedsprite: 'Guy' singular, Sked. We are only one sprite, after all.

Shkedshkedsprite: He's going to have to wrap his head around temporal pronoun management at some point. He might as well start now.

Sprite Summary by Kazerad

Sked- first prototyping is his shedding, when Ikti accidentally drags it into his kernelsprite. Dissatisfied with its maturity, he later tier-2 prototypes it with a newer shedding. The new sprite is nearly identical, but "twice as sked".

Ikti- feeling bad about embarrassing Sked by prototyping his shedding, she prototypes hers as well. She is the first player to discover Tier 2 prototyping, accidentally prototyping her shipping chart pre-entry (making Shipsprite). At first she is annoyed by Shipsprite's giddy relationship talk, but soon comes to realize the two of them think almost identically, prototyping with the chart simple made Shipsprite more open about it. Coming to terms with this eventually gets Ikti to admit her feelings for Sked.

Taza- after an Alternate Future Sked prevents him from prototyping Kesh's exoskeleton, Taza decides to try a Perfectly Generic Object (see Marshie's comic). He quickly grows bored with Genericsprite and decides to retrieve and prototype the Alternate Future Sked's body. While digging it out he accidentally prototypes the bathtub instead. This has no changes on Genericsprite, other than making its edges slightly more rounded. Taza eventually learns to overcome his desire for all his friendships to be complex and interesting, and learns to appreciate Genericsprite in its own way.

Kesh- Kesh prototypes the shark taxidermy given to him by Shie. While his relationship with Sharksprite is strained at first, they eventually become friends. Kesh lets Sharksprite choose his own Tier 2 prototype, but after thinking about it for a long time Sharksprite ultimately decides to go without one, so he can retain his personality unmodified.

Atri - wanting a sprite she knows she can get along with, Atri also prototypes one of her sheddings. After it becomes clear Atri is the de-facto leader of the group, she tries to find a way to actively overcome her shyness. She post-entry-prototypes a statue of a famous Apocritan heroine in an attempt to meet a more leaderly version of herself. At first Atri is intimidated by how leader-like HeroAtrisprite is, but in time Atri comes to realize that they're not too different after all.

Shie - Shie's Aphidcat is killed by something or other prior to entry, making her pre-entry prototyping obvious. However, post-entry she embarks on an elabroate plan to tie all of her exoskeletons together and prototype them all at once. Halfway through she realizes (on her own accord) this would be really fucking creepy and probably upset all her friends, so she eliminates the temptation by prototyping one of her old, damaged books about the aforementioned heroine. However, as the book is too damaged to read, the sprite is simply a tattered and worn Aphidcatsprite.

After it becomes clear Atri is the de-facto leader of the group, she tries to find a way to actively overcome her shyness. She post-entry-prototypes a statue of a famous Apocritan heroine in an attempt to meet a more leaderly version of herself. At first Atri is intimidated by how leader-like HeroAtrisprite is, but in time Atri comes to realize that they're not too different after all.

Genericsprite is prototyped with a Perfectly Generic Object, yes.
