Very true. It's not like every day that I get a 400 kB/s transfer rate.
Also it'd be a good thing if you mass .pngcrush everything before loading on these color-limited games. Testing on the last image (72.3 kB) gives the result of 49.7 kB without any loss of data. And any smaller file size means more people will be able to see it faster.
I've just reached the final mission.
This means two things.
1. I'm no longer taking naming requests now
Since that would be pointless; in addition, the following names in the queue have not been used due to the fact that I didn't have room:
Old Man Bunny
Squid Man
Squid Wife
Nic Cage
kwinse
However, these names will be used in the first batch of soldiers in TFTD (yeah I've decided to LP the sequel since I've had a lot of fun with this one).
Apologies that I couldn't fit you in, I honestly did not expect the sheer volume of names (about 88 in total) submitted, and I hope you won't mind this "consolation"
2. There are probably going to be 4/5 updates left to go, maybe with a mini update too. The last mission will probably take up at least two or three posts since it is actually the only two-part mission in the game.
Busman III: The Revenge is down for hittin up some terrors and some deeps.
Item 11.f: Have you ever been adjudicated mentally defective (which includes a determination by a court, board, commission, or other lawful authority that you are a danger to yourself or others or are incompetent to manage your own affairs) OR have you ever been committed to a mental institution?
Varkarrus: Those doors look promising.
Tezrial: We need to find a way in, then.
Varkarrus: Maybe we should knock?
Reako: I regret going up this elevator.
Reako: Hold up guys, just...let me throw up here for a second.
Tezrial: Soo... who's going first?
Tezrial: Or Busman could just blow a hole in the wall, there's that.
Son of Busman: You're welcome!
And then Varkarrus just uses the front door anyway.
Yeah we got this Command Centre/Disco pretty locked down.
Gino gets bored and just blows through the wall.
Kraikan: Hmm, four Snakemen and a Blaster Launcher.
Kraikan: wat do.
One Snakman miraculously surv-
Never mind, Gino happened.
Son of Busman: MISSILE SENSES, TINGLING.
Snakeman: Oh, ssshit.
Well, we got our commander.
And a bunch of guys in Funkytowne get promoted for once.
A couple of supply ships show up to build a new alien base.
Yeah, not without the proper permits you aren't.
Okay guys, I get it, just stop shoving alien guts in my face every five minutes.
Counter Terrorists Win.
We sure do make a mess.
Ah, new armour.
Yeah.
Lets do this.
Finally, some information that doesn't involve me looking at kidneys for an hour.
Huh.
Well, better late than never I suppose.
GO LIGHTNING!
Spoon: Uhhh, why are we still in this thing?
Spoon: No seriously, we aren't even landing.
Okay then.
Pros: The lightning killed both Battleships.
Cons: We lost two Interceptors, and we almost lost second second squad because they were squatting in the Lightnings cargo hold for some reason.
Sign me up for next time to. There will be so many dead aliens (so many).
Also many, many, many dead soldiers.
For the people who've played TFTD : you probably already know why.
For everyone else: Nice surprises lie ahead.
So since the final mission was so close at this point I figured I'd have a little fun taking this Battleship down.
Yep. That sure is a lot of blaster launchers. Seven in fact, with about 1/2 reloads each.
We're going to blow shit up.
Tezrial gets both a blaster launcher and a heavy plasma.
This does not affect her negatively in any way because her stats are so high it doesn't matter if shes dual wielding heavy weapons.
Tezrial: Mutons won't know what hit 'em.
A Muton helpfully directs us to the Battleship.
Zefferen: Well that guy took a while to kill.
Anyway, time for a 'SPLOSION MONTAGE.
Seriously why are these guys taking so long to kill.
Though we don't initially see the effects of the explosions, we do hear a lot of death screams. We also get our first glimpse of what we're doing to the craft, but we'll need to get a closer look.
This is where this guy comes in. Also, another Muton is shooting at him.
Kraikan: Seems fine so far, a couple of guards at the access lift.
