Torso and Arm templates up as well. I'm going to stop partially constructing bodies and posting them to the template gallery (there are waaaaay too many possible combinations). Instead, I'll add arms and torsos, which can be assembled separately from their components.

Understood, wings need to be semi-rigid etc. They're just raw images of Dad adult Sked ripped from one of Kaz's comics.

My bad :/ I mistakenly thought that "Dad" was just an adult Sked. Could someone post the most up to date ectobiology chart? I don't have one saved to my computer. I will go fix the nomenclature in a bit.

You're free to design markings for the other four. Just know that the trend so far has been to incorporate their title into their markings in some way (Sked's looks like a gear prong, Taza has a literal heart).

Zeal, you're doing so much work here, it's amazing. I can't even phrase how much this is going to be useful when the adventure is going to be made (no matter who will do it or when it's going to be done).

And about your question, I prefer the left Updated Shkedsprite, more asymmetrical than the other one. Between approximative asymmetry and clear asymmetry, always choose clear asymmetry, otherwise the viewer of your drawing just assumes it's badly drawn.

(... Is asymmetry even intended in the right Updated Shkedsprite? Or does perspective work like this? Also, were you going for a "beak" effect?)

You have no idea how hard that heart was to sprite.


Now, I am unsure about these wings (as far as I am aware there's not really an established design for them, just what's in the axe-Taza picture), but I figured this would be the lazy way to accomplish something by recycling previous templates and I wondered if it was passable. Without further ado:

I had noticed the beak effect when I finished it Cauchemar, but I really was just tooling around and didn't have any specific goal in mind. I had the raw resources, so I figured I might as well see what it looked like.

And possible adult Kesh? His aspect is life, which is somewhat difficult to conceptualize a symbol for, so I used Hussie's from the Homestuck canon. Thoughts?

I dunno on Taza's wings though. They look better than the butterfly wings, but they also look super busy. Also: maybe you should flip the up wings and the down wings? They look like they'd make more sense like that.

Yeah, I experienced similar dissatisfaction with them, it was just an attempt at laziness. How about an X-Men Archangel-ish design?

You probably want to change the way the wings sit on the base, though. You drew them as if Taza would be looking straight at you, but the sprite itself is turned slightly. It makes it look a bit wonky when put together.

Hmm, perhaps something that incorporates the curves of the aspect glyph, and the way it uses positive and negative space, however?

I actually did design the wingsigns for the adults in my sketchy god-tier fanart. Even if it's in black and white.

Kesh got sort of a leaf-like chest symbol. And he was much more stout.... just saying. I also designed his wings.

edit: I also think that it might be time to open a new thread? If someone could summarize everything and put it into a new thread, I think it would breathe life back into the project by making it more accessible to newcomers.
