Yeah, your first move should be to disarm her. A Meteor Hammer is dangerous enough in the hands of somebody strong and crazy enough to wield it, and your reach advantage is all you have against her. I would start by throwing a knife at her hand to get her to drop it, then do some kind of sliding kick thing, not at her, but PAST her, kicking the weapon into the falls.

Yeah, I vote for this too. Disabling her limbs with precise strikes seems the best way to go, assuming she can't just hold her bones together via sheer force of will.

And if you don't want to cripple her on account of the upcoming battle with your momther - I dunno, do you have any blades tipped with a sedative? Would Masa count that as cheating?

I was gonna say to cut off her arms. I suppose sedative, if you have any, might be an adequate alternative. Also, there's less blood staunching necessary later, if you decide you want her to live.

However, I suspect Shoninja are resistant to drugs. I suspect Shoninja are resistant to anything that takes the fun out of a fight. Slow poisons? Acupuncture / cut nerves? Blinding, slowing, etc? Nada. Or at least, a lot lessda.

Perhaps what you need to do is make her ...ugly. Ruin her persona, alter her stage presence, make her into something, so she doesn't want to fight anymore. Just like a Hitinja needs the speed and accuracy, a Shoninja needs ...something. Je ne sais quoi. Something that I'm sure you can deprive her of. I don't mean taunting, I mean injury; scars that will never look good, that sort of thing.

Practice adventure, not very well thought out admittedly but give suggestions anyway. It will make my art more awesome in the long run.

In the works of a new system.

Your name is Sparrowsmith. Of course, it's not really, but you like to pretend that when online due to an inside joke which only you get. It's kind of ironic. Your Avatar was made by аshdenej, it is an awesome sparrow. You just posted something lame, like you always do. You don't mind this, because it was intentional.

Beating your old friend in combat has always been simultaneously one of the easiest and hardest tasks you could manage as a ninja.

    >LS: Use Feykinja skills to set up a distraction.

The theory is easy enough. Just set up a basic Feykinja trick. You don't even need to use a full illusion. Just a basic bluff is enough.

    LS: There. That's my move.

    >LS: Fall back and observe!

She's a sucker for any and all bluffs and misdirection.

DSP: This is a trick, isn't it?
LS: Probably. I do that, but then again, I could just be bluffing so you don't attack me. Wanna find out which one it is?
DSP: I'm not afraid of your little tricks, Sunset.

    >DSP: use your Cthulhu style martial arts!

One taunt, and she's charging you with arms flailing; which puts the advantage on your side.

    DSP: AHHHHHHHHHHH!

    >LS: Disarm her

Of course, without your long hours of target practice, you wouldn't have the precision to break that silk rope at just the right place; effectively removing a dangerous variable from the battle.

    >LS: Create a distraction and hide somewhere she can't see you.

You know she can dodge easily enough.

    >LS: Use Dr. Inja abilities and sword that changes length to pinpoint and attack weak spots from a safe distance.

So, without all those hours spent socializing with high society and cute boys, you wouldn't have the cunning and guile to know how to conceal your true attack with a feint...

...and without your weekends spent practicing your hand-to-hand skills on dummies, you wouldn't know exactly where to strike during her confusion to get a solid enough hit to knock her off balance.

And without the years spent listening to your father and learning his techniques, you would not know how to disable a leg while she's momentarily stunned.

And you DEFINITELY would not have the speed to disable the other leg in quick succession without the graceful movements you learned from those mornings of meditative exercise.

LS: Call the forest to attack her then charge through with a swing.

Without your natural charm, you wouldn't have the ability to call upon loyal companions when in dire need; even ones you have not met yet.

It would be impossible to lift you into the sky if it weren't for the fact that you learned how to shift your weight to appear almost weightless in an emergency from the Evadinja.

Catching a falling blade is trivial enough though. Growing up fearing constant assassins and kidnapers gave you the kind of reflexes that would make an Equinja jealous.

    And it never hurts...

    To be a bit ambidextrous.

Yes. The theory of beating Masa is the easiest thing in the world.

...But the technique required has always pushed you to your very limits.

To beat a stubborn monster of a Shoninja like Masa requires nothing short of perfection.

Of course, the one thing you need...

...even more than all that technique...

    >LS: Shatter the bridge

    ...is luck.

God. You really hope you really hope you remember how to use your water-walking shoes for once.

    Otherwise, this is gonna suck.

DVS: As much of a wicked amazing and awesome display of raw ninja power and skill as that was, you find yourself actually being a little more worried than impressed. That explosion looked dangerous, like when one of your brother's experimental devices fails, and that's a VERY long fall, even for you, and you're trained for those. You sure hope they're okay.

    >LS: Land elegantly onto the water.

LS: Whoa! Okay. Calm down, Sunset. At least ONE of them is working.
