oopsie. I think I did take a wrong turn.
Sorry!
Bard of Heart, Maid of Light, Sneak of Sniff
My eyebrows are as shiny as my legs, and I used to wear a codpiece, but it was too distracting.
JUSTIIIIIIIIIIICE!
I've been making do with links to music or public domain usage, but It would be nice to actually have Deeprise original music to go back and replace what is already there and also to re-master the animations to some day (I do know how to animate but I just can't let myself spend more then a few days on it).
If anyone is interested in collaborating or thinks that their style would fit really well let me know.
I've matched the emotional content for whats in my head to the updates I've already made and some times its a good match but I expect people with a lot more experience in this can do better if their inclined.
The very short answer is pretty much all of them
My first and second animations I'm particularly unhappy with (to be fair I did not like how that animations turned out either) but if there was a replacement that fit the same kind of emotional quality for a few of the author's choice bits I'd be ecstatic.
The biggest problem is except for a few pieces the pacing is often a little bit off for the actions described and even when its not and when the emotional undercurrents match there is not really any consistent musical themes or instruments in the adventure as a whole. I really think that could help it.
I love music...
It can tell aspects of a story that simply can't be done any other way.
Yes, but you keep saying things like "Except for a few pieces" and "some times it's a good match"
So let me flip my question around. Which pieces do you LIKE?
Oh, and links are a lot more helpful than words. It's not really worth my time to look through your adventure for your animations, when you know exactly what pages they are on.
Ah sorry about that
First Animation Used that particular piece of music as a joke suggestion from earlier in the adventure but was trying to do stuff with midi to extract a more symphony type effect.
second animation I was actually doing, but I mis-guaged how much material I would need to match vivaldi's storm and the whole thing does not flow well at all.
After that I just shifted to providing musical pieces that matched with updates:
Starting here (I liked the piece but it starts a bit too harsh for this one)
This one fits almost perfectly for me
After that things fit alright.
For several more updates, which I might have gotten a little bit happy with the the musical choices.
And started making do with less then ideal choices to fit the themes.
And then some have good points a bit further into the piece but have terrible starts for the action of the update like what went with this one or this one.
hey is this still active at all?
sorry for just making this post to ask this but i kinda don't want to spend a bunch of time explaining what i want with noone seeing it
I'm still here. What are you looking for?
well i'm gonna be working on an animations for my fanventure (that i'm making with a few friends)
and i need music for an animation that'll have two characters in different parts of the animation
so two tracks for the respective scenes would be nice but yeah
as not to spoil anything for people who (surprisingly) read it i would like to give actual details (the SADLY few there are) in a pm or whatnot
i'd rather wait till i have a good mini banner for it (which it's being worked on) but yes i do know that
oh also i was wondering something (i don't recall seeing this in the rules) i know you said no themes for fan characters but i was wondering if that meant no themes for characters period or character themes are accepted if they're gonna be used for the fanventure?
I'd like to know a little more about what you're looking for before I volunteer. Send me a PM with the details and if it's not a good fit for me, then snuffysam can have at it.
I have decided to take up professionalDandyman's request!
Ok, so this thread is basically the thing I have been looking for. I have a Fancomic in the works called Stuck at Home. It's yet to be started in a thread, but I am aiming to start it sometime in December, hopefully. I've been looking for musicians for ages for songs to be used in the flashes of my Fancomic, and I have yet to find them. And then I found this thread, so. I'm going to need a relatively large amount of songs. At least 12 in the first two acts, with a few others possibly to come too. I'm more likely to ask for them as and when I need them, but just so you know that I will need a few to happen. I have 6 kids who each need a standard theme to act as a planet exploration flash music, and an entry theme for them entering the game. Then I have a group of 16 trolls as well who will collectively need a few songs for similar flashes. I'm sorta thinking maybe a total of 20 songs altogether, although that will definitely be the maximum I will want. I'll probably not want too many for the trolls.
I'm not currently requesting any songs atm. I guess the aim of this post was to say hello, introduce myself as someone who will be coming here quite a bit in months to come, and ask would the number of songs that I want be OK?
Here's the thing.
I am already committed to writing all the music for two adventures, one of which is not my own.
The amount of music you're talking? Pretty big.
I have no idea what Trai is up to, but here is some advice:
Try to write the music by yourself, and then come here if you have any real trouble with creating any of the songs. Basically do what you were planning on doing, but try to make the songs before giving up and coming here.
I understand what you're saying, but the thing is, I've already tried making songs. I started making one, and I couldn't understand how to work the program (nor did I after going through several tutorials) and the music that I did make on the bits I understood wasn't all that great. I always say that I am much more of a music appreciator than a music maker. Coming up with a melody is hard for me. I can copy things easily, but I don't want that.
I did say that it would be quite prolonged between requests, however. I am planning to make my Act lengths about 250-300 panels, maybe even longer, so it's not like my requests will be frequent. And the trolls don't appear until Act 3 anyway, so there will be a whole act where no music is needed at all. Or at the very least, only one or two songs for epic momentous flashes.
Basically, I can't make the music myself (I have tried) and I'm willing to wait for songs.
