No one I know plays any more, and none of them seem to want to re-sub either, meaning I am at a loss for WoW buddies.

    I also think so.

Oh yeh, Operation: Gnomeregan's music is super epic. Honestly, I can't wait for the soundtrack to Cataclysm.

    Re: WoW: Cataclysm

I'm so friggin' excited for Cataclysm. I'll have to level 3 characters though, and then my 40 Paladin, and a new Worgen... Still, I'm definitely gonna try doing bought PvE and PvP fully this time. Completely ignored PvP in WotLK, and always fell behind in raids.

So the Horde gets a giant scorpion as a guild mount.

Also, for those who don't know yet, people at Blizzard are saying that they're aiming for a November 2nd release, though it's not official. They'll probably give an official date at BlizzCon.

    Re: WoW: Cataclysm

I want goblins. Want them want them want them. So badass.

Also, seeing as this is a WoWthread, I should probably ask here - I've been trying to find a decent casual-raidy guild on EU-Saurfang for ages and it's starting to look like I'm going to have to move servers. Anyone know any good EU servers?

Alternatively, I've heard of people moving from EU to US servers, and if so I know which one I'm going to. Any idea how to do that?
    [i]...And then the world exploded.

    Re: WoW: Cataclysm

I'd assume going from EU to US would work the same as going from a US server to another US, or EU to EU. If not, I'm not sure.

    http://us.battle.net
    Manage Games
    WoW: WotLK
    Character Services
    Character Transfer

I haven't been very active lately. Been playing Halo Reach, and when I am on, I've been grinding BC reputations so the guild will get more cheevos(and access to more goodies) by launch.

    EDIT: Oh yeah, Brewfest.

The EU server I'm on, Kor'Gall is pretty good... Everything sorta died down with the Pre-Expansion slump, but still, you have plenty of pugs, and lots of guilds who will probably take you in.

I wish I could play this game and still have a job/girlfriend.

Seriously I would probably not be able to keep all three going.

    Re: WoW: Cataclysm

Byron, the simple solution is to get your girlfriend to play WoW as well. ;P
(of course I'm joking, because I am quite sure there are no actual females in the game, and there surely never will be)

Oh, and also new video on MMO-Champ:

First an updated version of Atari Joust, now a knockoff of Plants vs Zombies...I wonder how many more games Blizzard plans on putting in this game.
(Yo dawg I heard you like games so we put games in your game so you can game while you game)

EU player here. Took a break from the game about half a month ago. Not sure if I might come back come Cata or just quit altogether.
By the looks of it, Blizzard doesn't want me to. Maybe I should stop looking at Beta content...

    Also, for fancy title fans...

So it seems patch 4.0.1 is going live soon, bringing with it all the new class changes, talent trees, and pre-cataclysm goodness.

    Re: WoW: Cataclysm

Plenty of the Valor/Justice point gear has been uncovered.

Supposedly, the "earliest" release date has been pushed back from November 2, to December 7. I don't mind waiting another month if it means more kinks will be worked out by the beta/PTR jockeys.

The removal of portals in Shattrath and Dalaran also means that:
    A) You'll have to fly your lazy ass everywhere.(In my eyes, a good thing.)
    B) Mages will charge bullshit prices for teleports.(WTS Port to Orgrimmar 50g)

Hopefully flying mounts can't be used in enemy territory(maybe you get shot down if you don't leave quickly, like you did in Outlands), as it'd make the For the Horde/Alliance challenges retarded, both of which are getting revamped to include the new leaders, and possibly a new mount.

I've been meaning to post in this thread, but it somehow managed to elude me until now.

I am very excited to see healers will actually be given the option to deal damage and even encouraged to do so, in some cases. I've healed since WoW Classic and as much as I enjoy the challenge it entails, there has always been way too much pressure placed on healers. Hopefully, Cataclysm boss fights will be more time-sensitive and require higher outputs of damage, rather than huge healing output.

hopefully we'll be getting a new city with portals. ;^; That is just, ugh.

If we don't already have an inscription to remove the reagent cost, they need to add one to make up for this.

    Re: WoW: Cataclysm

They removed portals in Shattrath and Dalaran so people wouldn't gather there. Also, IIRC, all the Horde/Alliance capitals will have interconnecting portals to each other, so no big deal.

Well, according to the Public Test Realm, healers are experiencing a very difficult time with their mana management, even in WotLK Heroics. I'm guessing they put those there for soloing, because as it is on the PTR, I don't think healers will be DPSing too much at all.

To be fair, though, they still haven't been tweaking numbers too much on beta. It could be intended for you to hit Judgement/Moonfire/Whatever It Is Those Classes I Don't Play Cast every few GCDs, and numbers just aren't there yet. Hard to tell.

    Edit:

Not looking like it, I think they want to avoid the Portal Hub thing again, at least for Cata. Which makes sense, the whole point is to emphasize the old world and its renewal, they want us to hang around the old capitals. Since you can get between them all pretty easily even on Live (Deeprun Tram, boat going from Darnassus-Stormwind, zeppelins from Org to TB and UC, etc.), they don't even really need to. It sort of works out.

Some days I'm so glad I work Tuesday nights, it means when patches like this one ship, I have an excuse not to sit in front of my computer and mope while blizzard unfucks the servers.

    Making a killing on glyphs.
I was smart and stocked on a load of them beforehand. What I paid 6-10g for is now worth 80-150g on my server.

It also saved me the trouble of paying these prices to learn nearly every Hunter glyph. All I need are a few of the new ones(like Trap Launcher).
