MMX 4 LYFE
Man I used to draw SO MUCH MEGAMAN X STYLE ART ASKDJHFASKLDJF. I still do sometimes, though it's usually for commissions. Now I wanna play X4 or something. Or X8. Man, that one was pretty sweet.
Lexxy you need to start up a new inspiration thread
what happened to our old inspiration thread?
actually I seem to remember it was mainly just one guy. He must have been pretty much constantly inspired.
I don't know but I was just looking for it. I figured that instead of practicing, I'd just look at other artists work and somehow I'd get better at drawing.
That's really not an entirely unreasonable expectation, though the leap in ability won't be as big as if you'd also practiced ;D
and without at least SOME implementation/practice of what you analyzed. I've done editing on people's writing where they were very big fans of very long series and were very avid readers, but had never (or rarely) written something before, and..... it's bad.
I'm sure there's some way to pace out the creating/analyzing to maximize efficiency, but I'm not that much of a nerd to do some experiments and test it out.
...
OR AM I?
Zero was so hard.
I played it for about twenty minutes and went "Yeah, uh, no."
I pretty much felt like that towards the entire series, I played with roms, and I saved the game like every time I managed to defeat and enemy without losing any health or lives
I recently made a resolution to draw an hour a day no matter what was going on, but this party that just rolled into my apartment seems to be trying to force my first missed day. I feel pretty bad about this.
Hey, uh...
I'm on a quest from an AWESOME forum adventure to ask for music. We've already composed some stuffs, but we have very little in terms of music.
It's a Beginner's Guide to the End of The Universe. I'd appreciate anything you guys can cook up. I would help, but all I have is Mario Paint Composer. XD
I never do that with any games, but 2d oldschool games in general, especially megaman, can be too much for me sometimes
I just didnt feel like painfully crawling through the entire level, getting to the boss with minimal health and getting killed before I could even figure out its combat pattern. Then I had to start all over again.
Eventually I realized there where differences in the difficulties between the levels (I thought that whenever you got something, the difficulty of all of them would rise, so the order wouldnt really matter), and that I had started at some pretty difficult ones, but I never bothered finishing it, Im really not willing to spend so much time like that. Id rather beat one of the metroids again
Hey guys, I am in need of your opinions. Would it be a cool idea to post a thread commemorating the upcoming 24 Hour Comics Day, which is starting October 2nd? More information here. It would mainly be a thread encouraging everyone to participate in the event, and post their comics for all the fora to see.
If so, should the thread be in the Group Projects subfora?

I think the idea sounds cool! I would argue it'd be fine to have the thread in the normal art subform instead of the group project sub sub forum. I think of the group project subforum as one dedicated to prolonged, coordinated group projects. This thread sounds more like a one-day thing and there are plenty of things in the art forum where anyone can participate freely. You're not trying to coordinate a group, just enjoy something and encourage others to participate. That's my opinion on it anyways. It sounds fun regardless of where it is!
Has anyone here besides me ever thought about what their life would be like if they had never gotten into art/music? It's kind of scary to consider sometimes. I've kind of devoted my life to music and I can't imagine myself as being anything other than an aimless loser if I hadn't picked it up. Obviously people here have varying degrees of involvement with their craft, but I'm sure even people who make art or compose just somewhat regularly would find themselves spending time doing stuff they wouldn't consider right now.
rosettimusic.com - all my music and things
Music? Well, it's one of the Twenty Large Categories, so yeah it's important.
In other news I'm straining myself over the concept of ownership. How can anyone own anything when I have did something that means that meant basically absolutely everything that everyone has ever done and not done is somehow mine??? I simultaneously like and dislike this statement.
The entire world is going to melt when a sufficient amount of No. 1.* is published.
I would be a lot further on in my career if I didn't dick about with either of those things.
But I do so love dicking.
