Um... I use to know this, but I forgot.

How do I change themes? I miss the Scratch theme. :<

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

If you read up a bit you will notice that there is currently only one available theme. I know, it's rough. I miss the Scratch theme, too, but until the forum bugs get fixed, the additional themes are on the backburner. The people who are doing the work behind the scenes to make sure the forum runs at all are apparently incredibly busy with Real Life, so things are getting fixed slowly. Could things be better in an idealised world? Yes. That's pretty much the definition of an idealised world. But I am grateful for having a place like this to be in the first place.
    I have spoilers now?
    What's up with that?

Wait, what? The blurb up top only says MSPA Classic was disabled. I read that ages ago.

If themes still exist, how do I change to the Scratch theme?

...All the themes have been disabled, as Nimz said.

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

That's not what the blurb says.

Should I read it again, perhaps?

EDIT "...the available theme". Singular. I see.

    This has been quite helpful.

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

When I said "read up" I meant it in the thread sense. As in, if you read earlier posts you will see more information. Sorry if I caused confusion.
    I have spoilers now?
    What's up with that?

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

On the contrary, you cleared my confusion quite nicely. All the information I needed was above every thread all along.

EDIT: Huh. The Rincenote is quite peculiar, then. If there's only one theme, and you suggest we stop using it if we have problems... what is the proposed alternative? (still have not read the whole thread, sorry)

Rince originally left the "Classic" theme enabled, and then disabled it because it was non-functional. They never amended the note, because they've been busy!

I've actually become marginally less busy in the past few days.

Yesterday I had about 30 minutes of free time!
No longer official staff around here.

Any opinions I state are mine alone and more than likely do not represent current thinking or decisions of the staff.

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

There seems to be a bit of an issue with dropbox images not displaying if they're in spoilers, but I don't know whether this is a theme thing, a dropbox thing or a me thing. They display if they're not in spoilers though.

EDIT: OOP wait nvm figured it out

I seem to have a massive problem with the forum in its entirety. I have no theme whatsoever, the entire forum is consisted of black lines and text with a flat white background. Everything besides text in posts is arranged vertically and is sized incorrectly.

Seems like weird browser stuff. Have you tried restarting your browser, restarting your computer, or changing browsers?

This is a persistent issue for me. If it was as simple as you said I would've fixed it by now.
I also would prefer to not change browsers as I quite like Firefox, and I don't think that should be necessary for me to fix the issue. Especially when considering that I know several forumites here who use Firefox and DON'T have this issue.

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

I've reinstalled before. Not to fix the issue, but for other reasons. However, regardless of my motives in reinstalling it still didn't manage to fix it.

I find it works fine in Google Chrome but switching to another web browser to fix it seems a little too much for such a stupid issue.

    What OS are you using?

As a Firefox user I can uncertainly say that the problem is either with your version of Firefox or your OS. But not confidently.

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

Win 7 x64bit. And I use the newest version of Firefox.

EDIT: Huh. Well, I've decided to switch to Chrome anyway, seeing as it apparently has a "import settings" feature that allows all my bookmarks, saved passwords and so on to be directly imported to Chrome. And seeing as the one reason I never used Chrome was so I didn't lose my Firefox settings.. Yeah.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help guys, but I've fixed it on my own.

    Re: Theme and Style Issues

That look like bare HTML formatting, so I shall hazard a guess and say that the CSS is not interpreted correctly. As someone who has once had this problem, I can say that this is a connection error and hence a better physical connection to the internetvis required or, failing that, a copious amount of reloading.

Edit: I swear the previous post's Edits are invisible when I typed that out. Well, it's still good reference material.

For somereason to me, the default theme of any website always seems to be the best theme

I don't know about you guys, but a new design of where one would be able to interact with the comic would be nice, but I don't know, it might be just me :/

Could you elaborate? You mean like a redesign of the main site?

So I think that there should be a bit more interaction between the person and the story, maybe expand the design to allow actually role play? idk maybe :/

No, I mean that you are constantly flooded with pointless text (in my opinion), especially for the first few acts and it just feels like your brain is going to die out... It DOES get better later on, but it still feels over flooded with text.

Um, this thread is for the forums. We don't have any say over where MSPA goes.
