Ehh, I figured as much. I just have one post of mine I was trying to find but the only thing I can remember about it is that it is the longest post I've ever made. But it's not really important and it's just a one off thing so whatever. I don't think that would be useful except for finding huge rants.

That reminds me, who admins the main site at the current time? Is it the same people that admin the forums (in order to leave Andrew more time for drawing)? I.e. is Fish writing their question in the right place?
Why would you even want that? No, don't respond. I know the answer would only irritate me.
Let's just say it's incredibly unlikely that such a feature would ever be implemented.
I could see it being used for the art threads, where there's not continuity in content maybe? But yeah just put random numbers into the page in the address bar manually.
Random Page Function = Hell Yes.
A friend of mine created an account here (Courtyard Vagabond) but is having trouble with activation. Is there a way his activation email can be resent to his email address? Thank you!

<ProfessorLizzard>: hum. Someone made a thread for answering questions, because they couldn't find one. The place was the Forum Question and Answers thread. It is a bit redundant, isn't it : /
<wheat>: The administrative forums probably shouldn't be on the top
<wheat>: since that's where people's eyes seem to go first
<wheat>: perhaps a copy of the rule thread should be transposed into a thread at the top of the forum questions and answers, with an additional statement saying "forum q and a is for /forum/ q and a"
<wheat>: really the rules could use a lot more guidelines and tips after the initial post, like a log that's added to as more people do minor slip-ups that result in thread-lockings so things are repeated less often and there's less confusion
<wheat>: (either that or there could be a general questions forum with a forum-questions-specific subforum for the admins' sake)
<Jacquerel>: "I joined the forums a little while ago, and I remember combing through here for info. However, I was never sure which category my question fit under"
<ProfessorLizzard>: especially since the only place I have found a comprehensive guide to the forum's infracstructure is the "introduce yourself" thread in the general chat
<ProfessorLizzard>: which is quite hidden
<wheat>: also the grand forum archives should probably be compressed
<wheat>: four subforums aren't really necessary
<wheat>: throw everything under The Forafiles with separate subsubforums for the other three (or two, the suggestion boxes are not page-turners)
<wheat>: while putting admin notes and forum events under Forum Q and A
<wheat>: it's so untidy and hard to get around!
<ProfessorLizzard>: Make sure to post this in the General Feedback thread.
<ProfessorLizzard>: Since these are all valid points.
<wheat>: but major changes are coming to the forums
<wheat>: still
<wheat>: probably
I just got here today, but I like the forum so far. I may stick around a while if I get used to the layout and stuff. I'm used to smaller forums, so having so many new posts so frequently is a little hard to keep track of.

The forum's kept very tidy. Once you get used to the layout, you'll find not much really changes, since there's already a thread for mostly everything. Want to discuss the comic? There's a thread for that. What to discuss stuff that hasn't happened yet? Thread for that. Need a clarification? Thread. Fanart? Three for that, all very particular. One for fic and one for music, too. The tour might be a bit long but once you're done, you probably won't get lost.
So, how hard is it to figure out where the threads are for everything? I seem to be having a hard time following what some of the boards are for on this forum. Also, I saw one of the mods say something about either discussing theories about the mechanics of certain comics aren't allowed/is frowned upon. Is that true? Because if so, that is upsetting. The timeline of Homestuck is just so much fun to discuss. I have a friend, and that's pretty much what every conversation we have ends up getting to at some point or another. Another theory about paradox space. Nerdy and proud.

Sounds like you must have misunderstood.
I would think that things involving theories go in the IDE/Theory Thread. That is totes where they go.
The Simple Questions FAQ is contained to just the Simple Questions thread.
Ok, thank you. I was thinking of "somewhere else" as "not on this forum." I'm still viewing everything here as one big forum, instead of the separate threads. Sorry for hijacking this topic, I'll get off now. :P Thanks for your time.

You can see all the threads you have subscribed to that have unread posts on your settings page. Posting to a thread automatically subscribes you, or you can use the "Thread Tools" menu at the top to do so.
When is the next Name Changery? If it's not in the next couple of months I'll have to make a new account (which is against the riles iirc) with a new name and stop using this one. Which is a big shame since this one has some pretty sweet stats to it, and it would get confusing if I suddenly stopped using it.
The reason for this is that I'm currently trying to get every username I have to be "In0q". It's really confusing otherwise. I've already got it at In0q for every site that allows name changes/short names (everything except skype, which will unfortunately have to remain inconspicularity). So MSPAforums and Skype are the only two places I'm still not In0q.
