lets hope this post gets through
for some strange reason i can not view my posts
the forum acts as if i have posted, but i do not see my posts
I figured out what was wrong. It was a Chrome extension that allowed me to see the animation in animated pngs. For whatever reason, it made pngs not show up in spoilers.
Not sure if this even counts but I had to register twice in order to finally get in the forums. This got an e-mail confirmation, but my last account is still waiting for one and I'd much rather use my last one for its username.
Yes, I checked even my Junk, and it's been well over 18 hours. I was hoping I could find a button that said to send another one but to no avail, so I had to register a second time.If I can still use my first account and get this one deleted, that'd be great.
I apologize if this isn't the right thread for this but I didn't know where else this would belong. :I
My posts did this in the introduction thread, but nothing happens in other threads. Yet I can post in the fanart thread just fine.
I'm hoping this isn't how the posting system here works because it's incredibly confusing. :c
EDIT: I also get a popup asking to confirm that I was leaving the page sometimes when I post...
I have the number of posts per page set to a non-default value. If I search for something on the site using a search engine (something I do because they try to show the most relevant part of each post on the results page), it returns a result such as:
http://mspaforums.com/showthread.php...ERMISSON/page3
which doesn't link to the the intended page.
If, instead, the web crawlers saw the page as:
http://mspaforums.com/showthread.php...SSON&p=6023244
I'd get the intended page. If webcrawlers were shown the forums 5 posts at a time rather than 25, everyone would (although it would have side-effects for anyone viewing the cached copies).
Granted, I can work around this problem by blocking cookies or using the cached site, but I'd appreciate it if someone was to make it so that the problem did not occur in the first place.
For some reason, the Ban Log is stuck in my list of subscribed threads with new posts. However, it says the latest post was by NaS, and on the 22nd, while the latest was by Drillgorg, on the 21st. Additionally, going to the thread and hitting the 'view first unread' button takes me to the first post. Even if I unsubscribe and then re-subscribe to the thread, it just shows right back up in my subscription list with the exact same problem. What exactly is happening here?

Does marking the Admin Notes forum read (Click 'Forum Tools' in the bar above the thread list -> 'Mark This Forum Read') solve the issue?
This bug has been affecting me for the last several days as well. In my case at least, clicking the http://mspaforums.com/showthread.php...g&goto=newpost link directs me to http://mspaforums.com/showthread.php...76#post6114976 , which seems to be a post that doesn't exist. Perhaps it was deleted, and that's why it directs us to the first page?
Yes, marking the entire forum as read does fix the problem, but that solution wouldn't generally be viable for the larger forums.
Quote time!
Yeah, I deleted a post. Maybe posting in there again will fix it.
No longer official staff around here.
Any opinions I state are mine alone and more than likely do not represent current thinking or decisions of the staff.
That does appear to have solved the problem. Thank you, NaS!

I appear to be plagued by a weird bug, and I haven't seen anyone else mention it on the forums.
Let me try to explain it:
Usually, whenever I post something by Quick Reply, it lags for a little bit before having a window pop up asking me if I want to leave or stay(cancel) on the page. If I want my post to go through, I have to press leave.
I'm guessing this is the forum's way of making sure a post doesn't get lost if you're in the middle of writing it, and that's pretty cool. The problem is, it pops up even when unneeded, and many times, I'm stuck waiting for a while whenever I want to post something.
Is ANYONE else having this problem? (I'm guessing it will happen when I try to post this as well)
I'm not sure if this is a bug or just an awesome unintended feature:
?

Testing that, will edit in a moment...
EDIT: Yep, earlier post showed I had made 1,063 posts until a refresh. I do believe it's a consequence of how the quick reply works.
EDIT: Yeah, if I go back with my browser history this post doesn't show, and going forward again the edit doesn't show. vBulletin makes use of some trickery (AJAX?) so it doesn't update the whole page if it doesn't have to.

It’s more like a cheat to give you instant feedback. Post counts are largely cosmetic anyway.
If you quick reply and get a pagetopper, you might not realize it until the next time you visit the thread, since it’s just added to the bottom of the page on your end. Now, you’re not supposed to edit a pagetopper just to be annoying about how you got it, but on occasion I have edited one here or there to include a quote of what I was replying to, just for context’s sake.
definitely panic if there’s caviar
