I have no excuse for being sober. I have a two-liter of offbrand Mountain Dew mixed with sweet, succulent Barenjager sitting just across the room from me. It would be tasty and intoxicating. I really, really don't know why I haven't imbibed it yet. It's just sitting there, looking at me funny.

...of course, anthropomorphizing my alcohol might be a fair sign that abstaining was a good choice after all...

Your favorite alcohol, what is it, and why did you choose that particular brand/vintage/flavor?

Personally, I drink beer and rum (not together) more than anything else.
For beer, I like a wide range, so long as it's tasty. The most vile pairing of words, to me, is Domestic Beer.
For rum, my favorites are Kraken Black Rum and Sailor Jerry's. My overall rubric is based on what makes me feel most like a pirate.

14% ALC+ Cabs are what I look for; Gnarly Oak is a brand I can generally afford~

my drink of choice is beer, although mainly pale ales or IPA. There's a local brewery in my city called Picaroons and they've got some good stuff.

Sailor jerry's is good stuff and I plan on trying kraken for the same pirate reason

Most spirits remind me unpleasantly of paint thinner, white wine the same, red wine is obscenely sweet, and beer is only slightly above mediocre at best. Assuming it's proper beer and not that piss-water that seems to be the most popular and only variety over on your side of the Atlantic.
Seriously, what's even with that? If you're going to call it beer, at least make it taste like beer.

And I again forgot my original point. About not liking alchoholic drinks.
And if anybody even SUGGESTS alcopops I will break your teeth through the internet. There are so many reasons they are not acceptable.

@Doofaeus, yes, they are both excellent. I finished off my bottle of Kraken tonight. I was sad to see it go, but it's in a better place, now.
Had a good portion of it with spicy buffalo wings, ah, the perfect combo.

I wasn't a big IPA fan (strange, since I'm from the Northwest) until I tried Immortal IPA by Elysian Fields. Delicious stuff.

Yeahhhh a lot of alcohol is way too sweet and gross.
You gotta pick some nice beers. There's a lot of skunk piss beer out there.

Maybe I'm just biased, but RL sucks without liquor. So I'm pretty happy with DELICIOUS BOOZE despite its short-comings.
