    Yes, indeed it does!

Because I don't think anyone said so before, I'll stress it again-- Canadian's mail service loses stuff a LOT. You'll need to use something else to send to Canada unless you want the bunny to never leave the box again.

Two Canadian mapfolks are in the same general area as some in the US, maybe they could use this to their advantage somehow, negating the purported risk of Canada's mail system.
Like sending the package to a Post office just next to the border, and then crossing to get it?

But I was on the forums this morning!

This thread got a ridiculous number of replies really fast.

Actually, depending on how long this takes, (ie if it takes until March for the bunny to work its way up the coast) the last person, if they're close enough to Boston and plan on going to PAX East, and if Andrew is going to be at PAX East again, could deliver the box in person. And then everyone who participated could be there!

(I secretly want Andrew to pull the bunny out of the box and kill us all with it, is the thing. :B)

The two I meant are (according to the map) Doktor Sneeze and absoluteCertainty. They're only like 35+ miles apart, so they could theoretically meet in person if Canada is really that bad at mailing stuff.

    This is an excellent idea.

And as for the question of dedicated-ness, I am full on board, trust me. As far as I know there are no major changes for me in home address in the foreseeable future, nor should I be lacking funds in any way that would effect my ability to continue the mail-along. If something unexpected comes up I will let whoever know, but I am seriously doubting anything will happen.

I've had horror stories from my friend about her boyfriend mailing 80 dollars in plushies, which never arrived. When I asked mom how long customs would take, she went bugged and was like "Did he use their postal service?".
It's all horror stories but I REALLY don't want such an awesome bunny getting lost!

Off-topic, but, this reminds me. I want to go to the border of the U.S. and step into Mexico and back. Just to annoy border control.

    Probably not gonna happen BUUUUUUUUUUUT.

Re: I propose a forum bunny.

I added myself to the map (and accidentally moved elatedVagrant/Hector again, I am so sorry!! ) and am totally excited about this! I'm 100% in, by the way.

I'm also aware that I'm not very near many people and am prepared to pay postage for whatever distance is required.

Also, I lost track of who's organizing this, but if you need any more logistical (planning who gets it when, etc) help I am so up for that as well.

Re: I propose a forum bunny.

I think this is a super great idea. I haven't read all 13 pages of this thread, but I agree with the two letter method mentioned on page 1.

Also, a friend of mine did something like this once with paper cranes and took pictures of the cranes at interesting places in the area. I think if people liked, they could add photos or whatnot. Perhaps we cool have a photo group on facebook, here, or where ever where people could add the photos if sending them becomes too costly.

Hope it's cool if I added myself to the map. Great idea, guys!

I moved Hector's pin back out of the ocean, but I can't remember where exactly it used to be. He'll just have to fix it later.

I saw this topic this morning when it had liek 5 posts and didn't comment because I had to leave for school. Now there's a billion million people who all want a piece of this bunny action. I added myself to the map, I live in Oakland, NJ, USA (close to NYC). SO if there's something going on around there, I would be honored to be a part of it.

Ok. I am absolutely in on this. I think the plan is, seeing as me and Flyingphish are the only New Zealanders representing, and he's generously offered to cover the shipping costs for overseas, I receive the bunny from overseas, then send it up to Phish.

So, uh... when it's time for it to arrive down in the Antipodes, somebody gimme a yell!

[font='courier new', courier]Thanks, LT. Fish. I fixed my pin again and added the city it's supposed to be on top of in the info.

Re: I propose a forum bunny.

I disappear for a few hours and this grows like three more pages!

Two bunnies have been purchased, and are awaiting boxing in the other room. Since I want to get this rolling as soon as possible I went with the Build-A-Bear ones. They're a bit larger than I expected (15" inches according to the site), but that should give plenty of room to do countless horrible things to their bodies. I'll take some pictures and update the First Post before I send. I couldn't find colored boxes, but I found some regular ones I can just recolor for maximum authenticity.

Speaking of getting this rolling, who's up first? To get these two spread out a little it'd be good to have one start going west ASAP, as well as letting one meander around the East Coast a little. To start us off, could I get the mailing address of someone in Maryland and someone off to the west, maybe Oklahoma/Colorado, who doesn't mind being first?

If people want to do this I guess that would be fine, but I think some people wouldn't be comfortable sending money to a stranger or simply wouldn't have the money to spare, and I'd hate for them to feel excluded.
