Summary: Everyone go see Toy Story 3
I sat in the theater and the kids there were probably the same age as I was when I saw the original Toy Story. I thought to myself, They're in for a treat.
I was unprepared for the short before the movie: Night and Day. It was beautiful. Genius. My jaw dropped, I was on the edge of my seat. It was in the same league as Looney Toons and probably better than any animated short I've ever seen - this is not hyperbole! I could have walked out afterwards happy, and been satisfied to have payed $10 only to have seen just that. Not an exaggeration! That is literally how I felt and what I was thinking.
Toy Story 3 had a beautiful story. It was perfect movie. that's really all there is to say on the matter
Since the premise is Andy might abandon the toys for college, it was fitting that the villain is a toy who was once abandoned and became cynical and rotten-hearted. This movie was full of themes and motifs, dude.
I particularly loved the opening sequence, where Pixar used the full power of their considerable talent, skill, artistry, and computing resources for an elaborately staged homage to the first two movies.
Fuck Toy Story 3.
I work at a pizza place at the mall food court in my hometown, and it's right next to the movie theater entrance. Yesterday was like fuckin' Christmas shopping season all over again because it was 90 degrees, so because there's nothing better to do in this city, they all come to the mall and decide to pig out on pizza before seeing the movie.
I have no doubt that it's a good movie, but I was about ready to go on a killing spree after work because of all the crap I had to put up with during my shift with parents and their whiny, annoying kids who are in a hurry along with the bajillion other families lined up behind them.![]()
People who call any movie perfect tick me off.
It was a good movie and I can sympathize with SweetMadness since I've worked that kind of job.
Toy Story 3 is a good movie however.
I saw Robin Hood and it was an entertaining movie but nothing overly memorable. They had too many story arcs and never fully fleshed out any of them. Russel Crowe is a great actor but I think it would have been done better if they had taken a fairly unknown actor and let him really wear the part, rather than give it to an A+ list actor who carries the stigma of so many other things.
Toy Story 3 was absolutely stunning. The short beforehand even more so.
How to Rob a Bank is a sweet indie movie that's absolutely amazing. Has the guy who played Bill in Kill Bill.
Did he get killed?
no, hung himself in thailand, possibly auto-erotic-asphyxiation

Not made by Daft Punk?
No longer interested.
So I just watched The Room. Tommy Wiseau was the producer, director, and best of the all the lead actor of the movie. Oh and it's adapted from a novel HE WAS THE AUTHOR OF.
It kinda speaks for itself how the whole thing turned out.
I'm assuming you're not serious and actually lampooning some stereotypical position, but I will act as though you are serious just because.Originally Posted by Dentrala
Not interested in the movie or just the soundtrack? Also, why would you expect the soundtrack to be Daft Punk, either in part or as a whole? Not really sure the... entire aesthetic of Scott Pilgrim, as it's been presented to me thus far, fits with Daft Punk in any way.
Also come on have you listened to the music on the trailers this shit is awesome.
i think he was talking about how tron legacy is having a daft punk score
which is kind of fucking great news by the way
anyway yeah scott pilgrim's music is going to be as crazy fucking great as the rest of the movie
and yes, cars 2 is an awful idea, but toy story 3 is stupidly fantastic enough to let me forgive pixar, and anyway they're making a sequel to monsters inc. so that's more than enough compensation
also the room is amazing
it is the best bad movie ever made
i think i might have mentioned before that i've seen showings of it with wiseau there
he is even more ridiculous in person
Oh yeah don't worry about it.
Monsters Inc is amazing.
Also I want to go to a live showing of the room I hear it is like stephen speilburg, charlie chaplain, alfred hitchcock and james cameron all had a huge orgy and made a bunch of babies and knit them together into a grotesque abomination of purebred talent.
I'm actually pretty excited for Scott Pilgrim, it sounds sweet but I've never read it.
I am not so hot about Pixar making sequels now. Not that I have no faith in Toy Story 3, but one thing I really liked about their films was that they were consistently original ideas.
I would not doubt the man would be more than a little insane.Originally Posted by XFactorInfinity
Pointless sex scenes and the disappearing breast cancer and drug problems and "I DID NOT HIT HER" have told me this.
I DID NAAAAAWWWTTT.
Oh hi johnny.
Sometimes I read about famous eccentric geniuses of the past and think, "Man, it's too bad there's no one like that around anymore." Then I remember Tommy Wiseau. And smile. Just a little.
One day I hope to become a famous eccentric genius.Originally Posted by zil

Best thing to do while watching the room is to play the drinking game. Drink everytime you see a spoon or football or stock footage of american bridges etc. Also drink every time someone says "don' worri boutet"
Toy Story 3 was pretty damn sweet, actually. And pretty heart wrenching at times.
It's funny how these movies grew up with an entire generation.![]()
I'll let Pixar do sequels of whatever they want just because they just keep pushing out more and more gold.
also what in the hell happened to disney's rapunzel movie?
