Adventure Plots Up For Grabs

Today is the day that the Most Awesome Video Game Ever is released, and you and your friends will be the first to play it.

Unfortunately, it is also the day that aliens invade. Can you repel the alien invasion and/or recover the Most Awesome Game?

An alien spacecraft crash lands upon a planet. It does not contain any living aliens, nor does its crash alert other aliens for an invasion, nor are the aliens even remotely interested. However, the spaceship does contain something extremely powerful, and possibly extremely deadly, that will change life on the planet as we know it. (What it is and how it changes the planet is not my job. p:)

You're on the train one day when an older man/woman (whatever your gender is) keeps giving you a strange look. Finally, when you stand up to get off at your stop, they pull a gun on you, tellinig you that you're to blame for what's about to happen, and it's up to them to stop you.

They're you. And what they're trying to stop is something you haven't even thought about doing yet.

You have just been hit by a car. Or rather, he car has just been ht by you. You ran over a car with your bare hands. The car is in the hospital.

Here's a scenario/setting I've been tossing around my head all day. It's not so much a plot synopsis as it is a guideline for the first few updates of the presumed adventure. (I hope that's okay.)

The protagonist wakes up in an empty field, with no recollection of how he/she got there. Wandering for a bit, the protagonist spots what looks like a famer and his cart. Once closer, however, it turns out the "farmer" is a strange creature that can only be discribed as a cross between a chicken and a shrimp. The protagonist can't understand the creature, but it seems friendly enough. After some coaxing, the protagonist gets on the cart and is taken to the nearby city. The city is a ramshackled mess, filled with creatures of bizzare algamations seemingly speaking hundreds of dialects. The protagonist is understandable is at a lost and is unable to make any progress. Suddenly, a literally slimy character, like a slug trying to wear a ren fair outfit two sizes too small, approaches the protagonist, speaking english. He ushers the protagonist into his shop, which is shown to be filled with jars, each one containing a mannequin head with a mouth stitch on it. "Allow me to introduce myself," says the slug. "I'm a Collector, and as you can see, I am a collector of mouths, and I couldn't help but to notice yours. I would like to have it." At this point, understandable, the protagonist is creeped out and is probably inching towards the door. "No need to be afraid. For you see, I also noticed your little predicament out there, so what I offer is this: you give me your mouth and in exchange you can have any other from my collection. By virtue of being native to this world, possessing one of these mouths will allow you to speak the local langauges. Not to understand them, I'm afraid, you're on your own with that one. Magic is always handy but never convenient, as I always say. So, do we have a deal?" At this point the protagonist, and by extension the readers, face their first major decision.

Ultimately, this adventure would be about making hard decisions. Not as much as good vs. evil sort of choices but more of humanity vs. survival. Even though this world has a currency, the self is held at a much great value. As such, the protagonist would often be asked to give up part of themsleves in exchange for more costly goods and services. From the physical, (a hand in exchange for extended room and board,) to the abstract, (the protagonist's name or a cherished memory for the rights to a dingy shop.) I feel this could be a very poignant adventrue with evaluating how much a person is worth to oneself. But that might be getting a bit high-brow.

Also, I really like that line, "magic is always handy but never convenient." I'd be equally happy if someone started an adventure with that as a guideline for their magic system.

All 13 main characters of the Homestar Runner cartoon play SBURB for no adequately explained reason, obviously involving a majority of the side characters in their antics along the way.

A 2D Minecraft-style (as in really huge boxes making up the land) defend-your-territory adventure. This actually isn't "original" because I've seen an adventure on here with that premise but it died and this seems like a cool thing to do!

Well, for the charlie brown thing I would age them up for the opportunity to have them talk about "when we were kids" and stuff, but the idea would probably work just as well either way I guess.

Lhurgoyf, I was going with "Everybody! Everybody!", you know, the theme song. But the title's less important than the core idea.

Well, I think the disadvantage of ageing up the Charlie Brown characters is that they're not the Charlie Brown characters anymore. They're just people that used to be, and then you're up against that idea being used in stuff like The Venture Bros., so you'd better be -really- good. You basically have to completely re-invent the characters, which is a lot of work and kind of a different concept than just using the original characters (although I think there is probably just one joke in that idea and that is having Lucy holding a football with the sBurb icon).

But then, a massive town-wide robbery occurs, hitting just about every successful business in town-- except yours. Now people begin to suspect you had something to do with it. You've got to prove them wrong.

Alternatively, the reverse - an AU where Jack arrived three seconds later, right after Karkat had passed through. All of the other trolls are stranded, but the PoV is Karkat's. What do you find through the door? What is this new, horrifying Universe, which has such weird pink monkey-things in it?
