The name refers to child slaves raised as soldiers. Jannisary has detailed information about the Orange Lotus.

We happen to know of one who's almost definitely still alive and who has an agenda which is about as mysterious as Jannisary's.

In addition, this poor guy here just had a traumatic experience and he’s lost some blood, so it’s not like he’ll be forming especially coherent memories right now, and it seems wrong to just kill this poor guy

On the other hand, the last time you met Anastasia she ended up destroying an opera house trying to kill you, so maybe it's worth it to make sure she doesn't learn you're alive.

Either way, you should probably think of some questions before you cut him loose.

Ask him where his radio is. Send conflicting information to cover your escape. Maybe you can get a Cossack attack squad after the Irishman. Give him a little fun of his own for breakfast.

Ask him what the Irishman asked him. Whatever plans he has for the town, you'd do better to keep informed of as well.

There really isn't much of a reason to kill this guy and hell saving him could just get us a little more on janissary.
Let him know his friends are dead and grab his radio for him, have him call for help but let him know that we were never there.

Maybe poke around a little more before we leave.

After asking that I think you should get out. You don't want to take the fall for this attack, and this guy doesn't seem to be bursting with juicy intel.

Jess: Lie a bit. Say you were hired to look into some recent troubles in Caper City as a freelancer; even if this guy seems like a low level grunt, he might know some information about what the Cossacks wanted to steal from Hivemind and accidentally let some of it slip out if he thinks you know what it is too. Imply it was the Cossacks who hired you, but don't say anything definite. State that this Irishman may be related to whatever you're investigating, then add in that no one must know you were ever here in this warehouse (THE WALLS HAVE EARS).

Also ask about the kind of gun the first man used to threaten him.

If this guy turns out to be no good for information, he can be good for propaganda. I can't think of anyone who we'd want to pin this incident on, but maybe you can build up some goodwill with the Cossacks for saving him?

Maybe tell him something like 'And... when you see Anastasia Daletsky, tell her that Venice says sorry.'

Convince him you're a friend, anyway. He should be inclined to believe you, especially given that his judgement won't be all that good right now.

Jessica --> Play up the savior bit. Try to administer some first aid. This is a dangerous city, and if you can get on this guy's good side, then you have some good will with the Cossacks (for what that's worth). Obviously, inform him that Orange Lotus has nothing to do with this. You don't want two potential allies biting at each other. After you send him to the restroom to wash up his blood, take a look at the containers in the warehouse, then make your getaway.

It's easier to produce good images, especially as the cast expands. The old style I could make a workable image quickly, but it was very, very hard to get anything past that.
