That is quite possibly the most Narmariffic portrayal of Cthulhu I've ever seen.
Oh also dudes, I'm thinking of doing something where Hastur is like this tortured artist kinda guy and Yog-Sothoth collects his petrified soul deals like figurines. (unfortunately I was unable to find a picture of one of said without a humorous caption)

Most of that wiki is nightmare fuel, I'd rather not give specific links because I kind of want sleep tonight.
In addition to that, there is a well known nightmare fuel freeware game (that I attempted to let's play but failed ;-called yume nikki.
http://uboachan.net/ (download link on that page under download yume nikki)
It's sort of a nightmare fuel game (Not so much for me until I read the theories about what the game is actually about) about a girl who dreams and does stuff in her dreams.
In addition to that, if you don't want to go on 4chan and go to /x/ which from what I hear gets raided a lot here's a less raided /x/ that has more creepy stuff: http://sanctuary.datchan.org/
Now last but not least here's some nightmare fueled videos:
I lost a lot of sleep from this stuff
Ted the Caver is pretty freaky.
Probably the scariest thing that's happened to me was experiencing sleep paralysis first hand. It occurred when I was about twelve or so. At this stage I was sleeping in the same room as my brother, and through this whole experience he was only a meter or so away from me. Apart from that it was very late in to the night, I can't remember none of the circumstances that surrounded it.
It happened suddenly: I woke up, and I could tell something was wrong. I was scared, I wanted to wake up my brother. But I couldn't move. Literally, could not physically move anything besides my eyes, no matter how hard I tried. And at the foot of my bed, I could see a tall, thin, white figure, standing there, watching me. This went on for about twenty minutes. I think I tried to scream, but not even my mouth would work. No matter what I did, I just had to lay there, heart pounding, staring at the figure only stood there and stared back. Even after it wore off, I couldn't bring myself to do anything but huddle underneath my bedsheets.
I didn't know what sleep paralysis was until several years later, when someone else described a similar story. Many people experience hallucinations while under it's effects, since it occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state and is closely linked. And there are many stories on the net of people describe having seen a similar figure as I saw during their experiences. I'm sure it's just some weird reaction of the brain, but it's still kind of disturbing.
As a kid, stuff like this terrified me.
Yup, BBC Two was pure nightmare fuel.
(It got to the extent that I ruled out watching BBC Two because of that Anne Robinson thing, then when the trailers showed up on BBC One I stopped watching that.)
(Also if a channel showed a 'scary advert' I would stop watching that channel, I was only about 7 at the time, but by the end of 2001 I could not watch television in case that trailer for comedy zone came on or a scary advert came on.)

While not exactly scary, it is bizarre enough to warrant mention.
I loved it a few years back though.
That was when I discovered Listverse.com
And the "bizarre" section.
Ever listened to an exorcism?
I have.
And I had nightmares for weeks.
Then I stopped going to Listverse.
...why am I rambling so?
Also, youtube Rubber Johnny.
I really, REALLY don't want to fetch the code for that one, because it would mean clicking the link.
That shit is fucked. up.
When I was little, this was my nightmare fuel:
Actually, you know what, N64 Legend of Zelda is, in general, just a giant ball of Nightmare fuel.
Dead Hand
The Golden Skulluta man
The Moon OH GOD THE MOON
Also, Malon's abduction in Majora's Mask, Ikana, and every single last detail about the Shadow Temple.
Oh man aeonsleuth, logophobia. That's a Thing. So many people are terrified of those ident animations after shows that they gave it a name and there are online support groups and everything.Originally Posted by aeonsleuth

Also, the music for the forest temple is very scary when you're alone.
EDIT:
Oh god Ocarina of Time. I've pretty much got that game memorized except for the Shadow Temple. I know I didn't play the game for like a year because of that place, in fact I think I went in far enough to get the Hover Boots and then just skipped ahead to the Spirit Temple.
Actually, the Spirit Temple was pretty creepy too. All the adult Link temples were pretty scary come to think of it. I mean the Forest Temple was basically a haunted mansion, the Fire Temple was kinda sketchy, and I really think the rest speak for themselves.
Ok so the Water Temple was more unspeakably confusing than it was scary but that counts.
and oh god the redeads and the gibdos uggggh
Wallmasters freaked me out so much when I was a kid.
AUGH.
Also whoever linked that cave thing

yeah safe to say that OoT had tons of things that were creepy as fuck at a young age
Young Link being rapekilled by the redeads was probably the worst of it, but I must agree with Wallmasters too.
Man, don't even get me started on that shit. It is the worst.Originally Posted by Flay

I have terrible insomnia, coupled with extreme sick-fatigue, but I've never experienced sleep paralysis. I've experienced dreams coming into the real world after I'm awake, but I could fully move after that happened. I could very well say I'd rather have tried fighting off that giant rat made out of maggots than having it sit there staring at me while I can't even scream.
Probably some of the worst stuff is sleepwalking a dream and waking up in the middle of it with everything just having happened, except that nobody remembers it except for you.
That makes no sense, so I'll just explain what happened:
I ended up having a dream a year or so ago where I woke up, and my face felt...crusty. Kind of like coral, even. I went into the bathroom, and flipped on the light, and looked in the mirror, and there was a giant blood red growth growing out of my face. I went into my dad's room to say "I think I need to go to the hospital." and he had the same stuff. He said something like "It'll never stop, they keep coming", then I went into my room thinking "Well, fuck it, I'm tired." Just as I sit on my bed, I wake up, with absolutely everything exactly the way it is. My dad's room door is open, the bathroom light was on, and I was sitting there groping my face, feeling...a bloody nose. For all I could tell, I was still dreaming. Only way I knew I wasn't is because the time on my alarm clock kind of "jumped" and my dad's room "blinked".
Hey look, a wall of text!

That actually made me jump when I finished reading it.

OSHI- SLEEP PARALYSIS.
My name is legendaryBuffoon, and y00 are lIkely to be conf00nded by my c0untenance.
That made me laugh.
I have a bizarre sense of humor.
EDIT: In regards to the first one, I didn't read the second one.
The first one was corny as hell though.
*ahem*
Weird Unexplained Shit from Cracked.com.
The "Backwards Music Station" just sounds like a Noise jackhole who got a hold of some transmitter equipment.
I stopped playing for a year or so because I reached the part you become Adult Link, stepped into town, and... REDEADS. I'M OUT OF HERE.Originally Posted by Jitka
