This is a forum game where you help the above person get past where they are in this videogame, then get stuck RIGHT after. Screenshots would be awesome.
I'm stuck right at the beginning, when the chess club is lit on fire
First you have to find the evidence that the head of the Checkers Club was behind the fire. Don't turn in the evidence; instead, use it to blackmail him for his library card, which you use to take out the book on rain dances. Perform Dances 17, 35, 42, and 6, in that order, and you'll put out the fire.
I'm stuck on the first boss, the Mole Dragon. I can deal with its flame breath easily enough, but when it digs a hole and I try to follow it, I end up in China, and then the time limit runs out before I see any sign of it.
That's a glitch. They've got a patch for it, but you can still get around it without the patch. Do as you normally do, but as soon as the loading screen for China shows up, turn off the game. Turn it on and load the autosave and you can continue the boss normally. It'll load in the proper area instead of in China.
My problem is that Alien Adanac needs the Velvet Scepter in order for me to progress the story, but I already gave that to King Minus.
Remember the guy in the second floor jail cell after you fight King Plus? He'll teach you the skill "Invisiform", and you use it to get in the back of King Minus' castle (use it when the guards aren't looking). From there there's a bunch of platform puzzles and a small boss fight against the Minus Mecha with the Scepter inside. Kill it and snag the staff.
I need help with the Jelly Beast Form skill. I tried giving Brannin the flax seed oil and he gave me the flour, but it won't do anything! I think the head of the Chess Club has something to do with it, but I don't know.
The Chess Club head is just a red herring, you see the Cooking Club manager is actually attracted to the second string cheerleader you helped with the glacial pom pom incident earlier in the game. The Student VP hints at this, but it is easy to miss. Just talk to her to get the quest to get the item you need to combine with the flour and try again.
I'm baffled by the Cryptic Colossus though. I can get past the first two riddles easily enough, but every time I try and get past both his right arm while trying to solve the third riddle I end up either being crushed, or somehow having the wrong answer! pls help.
That stumped me for a while, too. Then I realized the trick - the correct answer to the third riddle is to walk away and leave! When you come back, he'll congratulate you on solving the riddle and he won't crush you.
But now I'm stuck in the Tomb of the Historically Obscure King. I'm supposed to move the statues of the King's Servants according to the Historically Obscure Kingdom's traditions, but it implies that I should check history books for the clues, and none of the books I can get from the library are any help. They don't even have footnotes about the Historically Obscure Kingdom.
You follow the path you take through the library from the entrance to find the old guy who provides the only mention of the Kingdom. (Left up right right, forward left right up the stairs, left forward X button.)
Trouble is, I can't find the Wings of Apollo. Apollo told me they're under the oak tree, but the only oak tree is in an area I haven't technically unlocked yet, and I can't find the Garden Key until I use the Wings to make the trip to the Skylands. Is this a glitch or what?
Ah, yes... I remember that one. Under the oak tree. Yes, there is only one actual oak tree in the game, but, if you think back to the Wizards' Keep, remember what their symbol was? That's right, an oak tree. The wings are actually in an old hidden room which you can find in the keep's dungeons. Just sneak past the torture chamber, and enter the prison block. At the end of the hall, pull the chain on the left wall. The door will open, and the wings are right there! Along with a pretty nifty sword, too.
Okay, I'm stuck in the swamp of the Man-Witch. I know I have to get to the Teleporter in his tower to escape the swamp, but every time I get anywhere near the tower from any direction, he uses his lightning spell to electrocute the water around me, killing me instantly! How do I get past him?
Remember that air bubble spell you picked up in chapter 2 and seemingly never had any use for? Well, this is when your actually supposed to use it. If you stay under the swamp water from the time your just outside his line of sight, you can get to the tower while having him never see you! I know its cheezy that they gave you the thing in chapter 2, and then you don't use it till this much later, but eh, its a downside in a very good overall game.
Im really stuck though on acquiring the Etherium in bonus stage 5. I know its not necessary, but im a 100% kinda person ya know. I know to get the Etherium, you have to finish at least 10 seconds under the '1st place' time of your competitor. But the darn log rolling section takes forever! I swear therer must be a way to speed it up, but I can't figure it out.
There's a trick, all right. Notice how, in the stage description, it makes a big deal about how those are "natural" logs. Cast Mathemagic on them to turn them into Base 10 logs, which will make them smaller. This saves lots of time.
As for me, I'm trying to upgrade the Apollo Wings to get to the High Sky Temple, but I can't figure out how. Apollo says that I need the "power of song", but the Music Club refuses to let me in. The head of the Music Club is the Checkers Club president's girlfriend, and she's mad that I'm racking up overdue fees on his library card, so she got the entire club to shun me. What am I supposed to do?
sounds like you have the storyline where you pissed of the girlfriend. She'll normally disguise you if your relationship codex is filled.
As it is, this could be hard... go back and grind on the social stratus Curry Favour. It's easy to level up and can be spammed in Social Combat without an Unplayer bonus.
That done, restore favour with the her and find the parts for Musician's Disguise (this involves a goatee.)
now if you could just tell me hoe to complete Dethrone the Last King quest... I'm stuck behind some drapes.
The Last King? Well, in the back throne room of the four Underkings (Plus, Minus, Divi, and Multi) you'll find a section of the SINE WAVE CANNON. You need to upgrade it to get the TANGENT BLASTER, which fires a beam of functions at the drapes, knocking them down (if you don't upgrade, it won't work). You might also need to knock down the next set if you don't have the MATH PUNCHER perk.
I'm having trouble getting the blue Orb of Chaos from the Chaos Temple. King Divi said to use the sword you got from the Wizard's Keep, but every time I use it on the door, it throws me back and drops me down two floors into the RED ROOM of MANIA. What am I doing wrong?
Because King Divi is the most trustworthy person ever. I won't divulge exactly what you need to do, because there's some massive spoilers, but instead of listening to King Divi, you need to go talk to The Wizard of Options. Yes, the guy that you thought was just there to configure the game for your system. He gives out hints, and asking about this will actually start a new side quest that you need to do before getting the blue Orb of Chaos.
Okay, so I finally made it to Vectorsprite. That's the town inside the computer, obviously. Where the hell is the upzipper!? The red orb is in goal.zip but I can't open it!
Equip Cursor.gif in weapon, radar.exe in your headslot, and rush.wmf on your feet. The three activate a set bonus which when fighting Vectorials on the Graphic Plane triggers a random chance of learning the move Unzip.
I'm stuck just after that, now, though... Now I can't escape because my ally Task Manager isn't reviving because of Trojan's Hijack attack.
Use the Typo Potion on Task Manager while it's dead, turning it into the mammoth Tusk Manager. Then revive it, and it will automatically trample the Trojan when it tries to use Hijack.
But now I'm having problems with the Boss Rush Virus. Specifically, when it shifts from Mother Mole Dragon Virus to Shadow Nightingale Virus. I don't have the Silver Lamp any more, so how am I supposed to inflict damage this time?
Remember, the Silver Lamp had the attribute of Pure? There's a spell shop which sells Cleansing Ritual, which takes 3 turns to cast, but with the low damage the SN does you should be able to cast it without a problem.
Now I'm stuck against the Rogue Antivirus and his two Meme Mages. I have the Robot Cannon but they keep using Over 9000 Healing before I can do enough damage. The Meme Mages are invincible, too!
Aw man, Djim, I didn't figure that one out until I went back and looked at some earlier cutscenes on Mypipe. When you first head into Vectorsprite there's a fellow in a house who sees you and slams the door shut. If you pause it, though, you'll notice a tapestry depicting a Hero slaying the Rogue Antivirus in his house. If you missed that; just make sure you've recruited either Norton, McAfee, or AVG in your party and it makes life a lot easier. However, never have more than one of the "Noble AV"s in your party, because their Personality matrixes are some of the most incompatible in the game.
The Meme mages look frustrating but in fact there's an opportunity to initiate Social Combat beforehand, if you picked up the skill Out-Troll you can cripple them beforehand and make them less troublesome for the boss fight.
Of course, being the pedantic freak I am I wanted to check this tapestry shot out myself; without having to restart the whole game. So now I'm wondering which Metamage you talk to in order to release stuff on the unlockables page... I already got the Achievements from the one in High School, and the one in Vectorsprite gave me Concept Art... But I don't know where to find the one which gives me cutscenes. Any suggestions?
There is a Metamage that resides in a new place called Dangledorf village, located to the west of Bolta Town. You couldn't get to the village before since the enemies over there were way too strong when you first reached the town. They shouldn't be a problem now. When in the village, talk to the mayor inside his house, and he moves aside, revealing a door to the metamage. The metamage gives you a puzzle to solve first, but it's not that hard and you should be able to figure it out.
I'm stuck on that one boss. Yes, that one boss. The one with that unpredictable AI: Arlight. I hardly have the time to react to his attacks, let alone trying to counter them. The first time battling him, I tried to get my healer casting SPEEDY FEET on my party while my caster casts FIREWALL in front of him. It normally works wonders on most enemies but he just sidesteps around it and paralyzes my tank. He then casts SHROUD which makes ranged attacks less accurate, making my ranged fighter that much less effective, and puts my caster to sleep. Defenseless, I recovered my tank with an item, but he killed the healer by the time I could reach him. It just went downhill from there, and every time I battle him, he does something different, as if he has a counter for everything! Please help!
I was stuck for a while there, too. Remember back in Vectorsprite you saw a curious file called "ArlightAI.exe" that you couldn't get to because there was always some guy repairing it? Go there right before fighting Arlight and hack it, then go fight Arlight. He'll be much easier.Originally Posted by Kolarin
Now I'm trying to solve the puzzle in Arlight's pants. I think I have to get the yellow button to the other side of the grid, but every time I get it close a mouse resets the puzzle! What am I doing wrong?

Oh, that one's easy. You need to ride a blob you find around, then rush into where the button is. The mouse should be close to clicking reset. Swing a sword at it, breaking it, alike at the beginning.
Now I need help convincing the theif to come with me. He says he'll only come if we have gold, and only theives can steal gold, and I don't have any. After the 10th time I asked, he starts hitting me, progressively getting worse. And he uses King Divi's golden gloves!
If you have to ask, you're missing the point.Originally Posted by HaloKirby9

The answer is staring right at you! You actually have to take King Divi's golden gloves off of the thief and use that as the leverage to get him to comply. As with many of Divi's artifacts, they have a downside associated with their benefits. If you talked to the Minor Archmage imprisoned in the Swamp King's tower, he would have told you that the gloves downside is that if stolen, the person must obey whatever the new possessor asks of them! Just use a magnetism spell when the thief is off guard, and you'll get your gloves, and thus your thief.Originally Posted by Reecer6
Im still trying to get the 100% tho, I backtracked to the Relm Of the Glacial Wyrm to make sure that id save the cheerleader and the worldstone. However, there is a new ice wall blocking my path, but you had to use all your fire spells on the Jabber-Spocky and thus have no way to melt this. Is there a new way to get more fire spells, one I forgot about, or did I mess something up man!
You messed nothing up. Did you remember to buy the Magic Salt Shaker from the chef later in the game? Sprinkle some salt on the ice wall and you're through in a jiffy.Originally Posted by NaiveOne
