(Because I want to talk about a TV series, but it does not belong in the anime thread because it is not an anime, and it does not belong in the movie thread because it is not a movie, and it is not a game either! And Link Dump looks more like a promotional thread that is not full of TV shows, maybe~)

Hello, I am currently watching a TV series called Akihabara@DEEP.
It is in the genre of comedy, action, and drama!
It has made me laugh several times, and I am not even halfway through the episodes. It is very interesting!
The main characters include a guy with a severe speech impediment, a guy who has a phobia of women, and more! However, the story is not too reliant on these quirks. That is good, because it would be gimmicky otherwise!

It's weird how this thread dies because nobody here seems to watch non-anime television except for MST3K. There are a lot of really good shows out there, people!

I'm a self confessed Doctor Who fan, the new series. There's something just addictive about a series that can be exciting, emotional, amazing and hilarious all in the one. I love the way they inject the dramatic and action-filled scenes with funny little remarks and observations. A good number of pop-culture references are nice too. Despite the occasional technobabble, it's a pretty great series in general, with fantastic actors (David Tennent, Catherine Tate), interesting story lines and very distinct characters, such as Donna.

Also, why do the Ood reminds me of humanimals?

I'm not into series that much, from the ones I like and follow, the only the only one that hasn't been mentioned is the IT crowd.

It's cool, they have webcomic stuff on the background.

I gotta say that i'm with miraculous on doctor who. Although i like some of the older ones too. (Tom Baker!)

Leverage is pretty excellent. It's about a team of conmen and -women (a mastermind, an actress, a cat burglar, a hacker, and a muscle guy/intimidator) who pull Ocean's-11-style jobs on corrupt corporations and businessmen who've wronged their clients (who are not expected to pay them since it's a Robin Hood kind of deal).

My reaction to Fringe commercials is "I already watched that show, it was called the X-Files." And there's no way any show will ever match the super-awkward sexual tension of Mulder and Scully, so I'm disinclined to watch it.

It doesn't. I stopped watching it. I've heard it gets better...? I somehow doubt it and it doesn't look like the sort of thing that's easy to get into even if it gets good so I probably never will see the rest.

Re: Fringe, it's not the Mulder and Scully equivalent characters that make the show so awesome so much as John Noble as Walter Bishop and Leonard Nimoy as William Bell.

Also, Dollhouse has been getting very steadily better since the terrible first episodes. Tonight's was excellent and, assuming you know the show's central conceit, relatively self-contained. I'd recommend it and last week's to any Whedon fans in the house who ditched Dollhouse after being frustrated by the (again, really bad) initial episodes.
