Twirlyy chin, that was great, especially for a first try on FL studio! Could you, um, maybe throw me a link to the tutorial on how to do an intro like that b/c that was awesome and I've always wanted to know where to find that effect.
It moves along fairly nicely. The instrument choices (except for the distorted thing in the 2nd half) really perpetuated an almost whimsical atmosphere and contributed well towards the listener's interest level.
Personally, I like that it doesn't try to bee too complicated.
Easy to follow and easy to build upon, which you had done fairly well within the piece.
So who here plays the Binding of Isaac?
Here's a little remix =33

Avatar by thalassicPark! It is SO BOSS.
Ooh, I do! Nice remix you have there.
Been away for a while because of school but I'm back now. I've been working on some songs for a game that I eventually want to write (that would require me actually learning to program, so not anytime soon). The game is based around exploring a dreamworld, basically like Yume Nikki.
Thoughts?
Wow, I posted this months ago. I wasn't expecting to get critique! Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not sure if the distorted part was really warranted or not looking at it now. I was just afraid that it was too repetitive (which is a critique that I get a lot). I was also kind of a rampant experimenter back then, and I think that I've tempered that a little bit.
If I were going to go back and mess with it, I might tone that distortion down a bit, if I didn't remove it. Again, thanks for taking the time to critique me! I definitely need whatever I can get.
Music and things:
I made non-Homestuck music.
It was supposed to be a fade out ending, but something got fucked up. Just pretend it loops, I guess????????
Criticism, please.
I've never been in this thread before because until recently I never put out music that wasn't Homestuck related. But now I have!
The Oncoming Storm: "I Am the Doctor" Remix
The Mask of Equality: "Legend of Korra" fansong
In the Depths of Brinstar: "Super Metroid" Remix
Fiat Justitia Ruat Caelum: Remix of "Magia" from "Madoka Magica"
The Sapphire Mask: An original song
Kinda makes me a little sad that since I started cranking out music last January I've only made 5 songs that have no relation to Homestuck whatsoever :|

Alea 1, my first attempt at aleatory music (i.e. music of chance (e.g. In C)). If you and/or your friends are so inclined to ever want to try to play it, I have written sheet music for it.
That was certainly...something else. 11 minutes of non-stop indistinguishible melody, and that SAME frigging NOTE in the background playing for the entirety of it was almost too much to bear, but strangely enough, it was audibly pleasing. Some parts dissapointed, not for their lack of quality, but because of the wasted potential for sweet changes of patterns or melodies and what not, which I'm still waiting on. Best part, IMO, though, is around the middle. Most beautiful sounds in there.
Oh, and next time, please avoid the dissonance produced by trying to make chords out of seconds. I...think that is vernacularly correct? Do excuse my mistake if it is not.
I won't sugar coat my final opinion on it, though: A lot of expectations in those 11 minutes, expectations that, unfortunately, you did not meet, melodies that came from nowhere, went nowhere, the backhanded slap across the face that was the repetition of that same darned note again and again, and the monotony of the audible sense of confinement can be most tiresome, and for a song that lasts 11 minutes, that is unacceptable. Yet, for some reason, the song kept me listening until the very last note, which shows that, if anything, there is a lot of room for improvement, and more than enough skill to make sure that room is used to it's fullest.
If you do try this again, though, at least make it shorter. These are fast times, and listening to 11 minutes of uninterrupted melodies with little sense or meaning is not everyone's cup of tea.

Brand new shiny song, actually close to Electro. I like it, better than my usual crap.

Very decent DnB, insanely happy with this one.

I'm not a great pianist, but I dabble sometimes.
This was something I made for a game that was supposed to be a thing but its becoming a thing has been postponed indefinitelyIt cuts out abruptly because I stopped making it and didn't bother fading it out.
Insert generic signature here.
Unsure if this is a bump.

Prospero: Music Inspired by Shakespeare's "The Tempest"
My first-ever officially-for-sale EP. It's a scant $2, and for that you get five tracks totaling 18 minutes worth of music! Really, quite a steal.
New remix, yo.

Hey! I go by Maxo on the interwebs when I make music, here's two of my dedicated bandcamps:

lemme know what you think!![]()
That was magical. I love The Tempest and I love this song. I get bored pretty easily listening to music, but I was not bored at all for the entire duration of this piece. If I had money, I would totally buy this.
Here's a song I made: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/113173630/M...Fruit%20v3.mp3
I just started learning how to use Fruity Loops in hopes that I could make my own music for my adventure. This is the first real coherent song I put together. Feedback is highly encouraged.
Hey. Psst. Click this spoiler. That would be super good of you to do.
Firstly I'm going to drop my album Personal Growth.
Then I'm going to say I want to see a Hurricane Sandy benefit album from Homestuck musics and fanmusics and would like to know if there's any interest in this idea.
Hello, all, remember me?
I just made some FLY TUNES. Go HERE for the song and more information.
More dubstep for y'all bitch-asses:
